Stores up to 12 item types (like Milk, Verr Meat, Bosk Skin) in a single prim. The blue menu then gives you a summary of how many of each items is there.
If you request 5 or fewer items the barrel passes it to you directly. More than 5 you rez a special (included) storage crate that the items are transferred into.
Allows anyone with the group of the object to store and retrieve times from it.
The barrel is 1prim mesh copy/mod. The crate is Copy/Trans, so you can use it for delivery, and is 1 prim.
The scripts can be removed from the barrel, and transfer crate so you can us it in your own builds, or customize the transfer crate.

great for storage needs
This is just what I wanted to keep my farm products in world and not my inventory, and to not have 100 boxes all over the place looking messy and hogging prims and script usage.. Yes, the barrel itself is plain, but you can always use the script in something else. To be able to have all things sorted into category barrels is invaluable. Have had nothing disappear or anything like that.
Useful
It's really useful and you can transfer the scripts to a better object than the barrel. Only problem is when I rezzed a 3rd one it began "eating" my objects - the 2 first ones work fine, though. Waiting on creator to tell me about the materials that disappeared and hoping they can be recovered because....

the item have problems with the Permissions outside it is copy and inside the script it self is no transfer and cant moved to an other object just stays in the Barrel not very mobile

Just looks like a freebie barrel you can get anywhere..they dropped a menu in it.
Convenient...sort of....I mean easy enough access and helps you keep all your little GS prim stuff sorted.
But WHY not a nice handsome barrel that would fit into a RP sim and not some bleh freebie one you can pick up at any market. OVERPRICED and DOES NOT look like picture here..go to any freebie stand at a GS market and you can get the exact same barrel with no menu!
