The Koto is a beautiful, traditional Japanese stringed instrument known for its lilting harp-like melodies. Traditionally strung with 13 strings, it is played with fingerpicks. It is the national instrument of Japan! The koto is often played by women, but there are many reknowned male koto masters as well.
The Japanese Koto by Voodoo is a careful reproduction, with much attention to detail and realism. Here are some of the features:
* Includes two versions, one for larger (typically male) avatars, and one for smaller (generally female) avatars. Each version has its own positioning and different animations.
* 156 prims of exquisite detail! Beautiful wood quilted wood textures add to the beauty, and realistic drop shadows complete the effect. Many sculpted prims made especially for this project!
* Worn as an attachment! No need to worry about having building permission, or available prims.. or losing your only copy in a sim.
* Includes mod/copy fingerpicks, in two preset sizes, but can be resized.

Normally don't get instruments
I normally don't buy instruments, but I got this and the sitar when putting my character together, and it was well worth it. Sound is great quality and the scripts handle the clip transitions very well. There aren't very many copyable instruments on MP, which makes this instrument the most appealing to me.

The Very Best
I purchased this koto with the idea of finding and owning the very best in SL, I like to entertain my patrons with the best as they deserve a memorable experience with me. I also own the Shamisen and soon the Shakuhachi as well, this Koto is very faithful and authentic and the sound and music is perfect and the songs are well done from RL to SL sources. I hope to have more music added in the future, I will look forward to many good memories to have and create with this instrument. I highly recommend if you are looking for a Koto, the rest are just as good as well! Voodoo is simply the best in SL.
A very faithful, beautiful, and wonderful sounding instrument.
First, let it be known that I very rarely give out 5 stars for anything. Four stars, is in my eyes, a very, very nicely done product and definitely one I would recommend to people looking for an item such as this. This instrument delivers exactly what was explained. Very beautiful in detail and texture and sounds exquisite. I'd like to see the ability to add more recordings to this from the builder and hope that it may be a future update.
