▶ Kool BUILDER Door is for creators selling their builds. You will build your doors fast, working immediately the way you want. Your final users will get robust doors on which they can set the access.
• Door script is easily configurable by the intuitive menu: no configuration error is possible. You see immediately how the door moves at each menu click. No notecard needed, apart for optional access list of names, or some special options.
• You can drop the script in your own prims or meshes.
• Your build partners can also access the setup menu on your doors, providing they also own this same Builder door version (license check).
Movement
- Door rotates, slides, or retracts like a curtain in any X Y Z axis direction. Works in prims, meshes, sculpts. No need of cut prims.
- Free pivot position, ideal for garage door, drawbridges, asymmetric meshes, etc.
- Speed is adjustable per 0.1 second steps.
- Door can be linked or not to other prims, movement is always the same. Safe for rez system. By linking the doors to your build, end users won't loose or mess the doors when moving their build. Great for furniture drawers as well.
- The door movement is automatically adapted to the prim size and proportions. The scripts will fit in your existing doors, classic prims, sculpties or meshes. The prim needs NOT to be cut. The script can calculate the edge pivot depending of the door thickness, something most other scripts don't do.
- Auto-open on collision (walk through) and/or by click, if access is allowed.
- Bi-directional option to open always away from avatar (saloon doors).
- Auto-closes when avatar leaves range, or manually by click, or after a timer.
- Double doors synchro opening.
Sounds
- By menu you can choose different sound sets for open and close. You can also add your own sounds inside the door or use UUIDs. The sounds adjust to the speed (optional final sound).
- Sounds audio level is adjustable.
Extra
- Magic door: Slowly becomes invisible at opening.
- Handles: Link up to 4 handles to a linked door. They will move along with it. Use it to stick anything on the door, like a label or a decoration.
Access is set by the end-user (local mode, no server)
- By menu: owner, friends (while owner on sim), everyone, prim group.
- By editing the notecard: list of allowed names.
Note
- Door settings survive a script reset or prim copy by using the Description field. Once you configured a door, you can copy it to replicate the same configuration.
- Optional API fullperm scripts included (llMessageLinked). If you are at ease with LSL scripting, you can action the door with your own scripts, or generate your own messages when door is actioned.

- As such, your end-users will get a perfectly working door on which they can set the access and tweak opening and closing modes (manual / auto). This is ideal for residential home.
- Optionally, end-users can upgrade in one click to their RP version, if they need it for RolePlay. It will add to their doors the RP options (lockpick, knock, messages...), optional Server connection, textures selector, and the full configuration menu. Your builds need to have next owner MODIFY permission set on all door prims. This is a great option if you sell items for the RolePlay community.

By using these Kool BUILDER scripts, you accept the following License Agreement with Kool Mekanic:
- You cannot transfer the scripts to anyone before having set NO TRANSFER permission for NEXT OWNER on the door script.
- You can use the scripts only in builds you sell at a reasonable market price (no freebies).

Since ive bought it I use that door system i all of my creations that request doors, its very easy to setup, very user friendly and works perfectly.
Recently i had a little issue and Kool go beyond all expectations to find a solution to my problem.
If your a builder you cant afford to not buy this product, it saves me time and fit to any door specs.

I love this and use it SO much!
I am not an advanced user by any means when it comes to using this. I know this because at their store they have very awesome things happening with their doors that I have no idea how to recreate.
That said, I use this SO much to fix badly scripted doors in builds or to just make doors move at the speed I want and behave the way that I want; or to completely change the way doors work that came with a build.
I may use this to actually build something in the future, but this is such a great thing to own just for the sanity of making doors work the way you want; even doors that come with this script inside of it. Just swap their scripts with yours and you have complete control over the way the doors work with the HUD that is in the package.
I don't understand what math is involved in making this always work but I have go give credit where it's due; this is VERY well done. Thank you so much!

Brilliant product, works really well
Very impressed with this product which works amazingly well. My heart sank a bit seeing the instructions, but actually it is very easy to use and lets you experiment with different opening options. It's very well worth the price of purchase if you're a builder but nota scripter.

I am a competent, if not great builder. Though, I have scripted, some days I can, others it's like reading a foreign language. I have unfinished builds all because of that.
This script tool, door tool, what-have-you, handled a door no other script free, or varied purchased could. I tried over 20+ scripts before checking the demo.
I only wish I'd purchased it sooner!!
Building is tedious in some respects, and enjoyable, but this takes a lot of tedium and turns it simplistic. With maintaining full control over what you can do, in truth, adding to what I can do as a scripter by far.
