How glass appears to you differs greatly depending on your graphic settings. You can adjust the glass texture to your liking by right-clicking on the glass, choosing edit, and choosing 'Select Face'.
Now click on the glass texture on the object and go to the Texture tab in the edit window. Play with the Transparency and Glow to get the results that best fit your graphic settings.

Nice compliment to my kitchen
Once I changed my LOD setting I was able to see the full detail of the bottles. Very very nice.
