The feed silo provides a system that distributes DFS animal feed to anywhere that they are needed on the region. You and (optionally) your farm helpers can place feeds into the silo and they will be rezzed as needed at locations you choose. The feed silo is designed with high LODs so that you and visitors can see it from anywhere on the region, and to make it easier for you to be able to touch it from anywhere to see what is in it. It is also modifiable so that it may be resized and, if you wish, you may even change the textures to better suit your needs. The Universal Feed Rezzer is designed so that it will detect when the feed has been exhausted and disappears, and it will immediately rez another in its place. It does this without using any sensors (aside from the initial setup), so it will not introduce any unwanted lag to your sim. If your feed silo runs out of food, it will simply wait until you add some to it. When you do, the new feed will be sent out to the rezzers that need it right away.

I should of read the reviews first not after i made the purchase. Then i would of known this item will not work. The second reveiw explains why it does not work. I did send a note card to creator and no reply. NO stars for this item from me at all. ok had to put one to post it. fake star .<

bought the Silo and loaded my animal feed in it and it never showed that i had chicken feed in the silo even though i have loaded 50 of them in there

I have been using the silo for 2 years now and have always been very satisfied with it. But new animals have come out from DFS, like ostriches and gators. The silo does not recognize the feed of either type of animal. Last year, when the ostriches came out, I asked if there was an update. Unfortunately I have not received an answer to date. Now DFS has released new chicken feed, which the silo also does not recognize. If DFS renews all types of feed over time, the silo will become useless.
So you should consider whether it still makes sense to buy this silo.

Ich nutze den Silo nun schon 2 Jahre und war immer sehr zufrieden damit. Aber es sind von DFS neue Tiere herausgekommen, wie die Strausse und Alligatoren. Das Futter von beiden Tierarten erkennt der Silo nicht. Letztes Jahr, als die Strausse auf den Marke gekommen sind, habe ich nachgefragt ob es ein Update gibt. Leider wurde mir bis heute nicht geantwortet. Nun hat DFS neues Hühnerfutter herausgebracht, was der Silo ebenfalls nicht erkennt. Wenn DFS mit der Zeit alle Futterarten erneuert, wird der Silo nutzlos.
Darum sollte man sich überlegen, ob es noch Sinnvoll ist, diesen Silo zu kaufen.

this made feeding all my animals easier.. best part of it is when you rez the golden ball near a type of animal it automatically reconizes what animal it is and what kind of food.. all i have to do is make sure the silo has enough food.. i just drop it in and let the silo do the rest
