Brokken Drop Box 3.0

This is a add-on for the Brokken Bookshelf. It allows people to drop notecards into a "Drop box" where you can read or move them to any Brokken Bookshelf in the same sim as the box. Also included is our new Remote Drop Box so you can provide multiple drop boxes that collect at your main drop box.

Free box objects are available at our in world store at Crumbi (162,49).

Drop Box and Remote Drop Box installation and setup:

1: Drop script into the object you want to be your drop box.

That's it. The script will automatically locate any Brokken Bookshelves in the sim that are owned by you for transferring notecards to.

Note: We only recommend 1 Drop Box per sim if you are planning on using Remote Drop Boxes as well, unless you use the Grouping option described below. More than one drop box with will result in an inconsistent depositing of notecards from the remotes.

1: Click on the object you added the drop box script to.
2: Follow the directions on the menu.

1: Drop a notecard on the box to deposit it.

You can restrict access to your bookshelf by adding a -Manage notecard to it. If you put the word GROUP in the card, it will only allow members of the group the drop box object is set to access the menu of the drop box. If you want finer grain control, you can list the names of individual avatars for access. The GROUP option is case sensitive and must be on the first item in the -Manage card. Avatar names are not case sensitive.

Using the object description, you can group bookshelves, drop boxes and remote drop boxes together for specialized purposes. When you set the object description and refresh the drop boxes and remotes, they will only locate other items with the same description as them. A use for this would be having one drop box for comments and another for applications and bookshelves designated for storing those. When you click on the individual boxes, you will only see the bookshelves with the same description in the transfer list.
