This "Daily" board has three extra themes -- Cyberpunk, Western, Goth -- and works as follows:
* Write down your events on a notecard in free-form text entry. Instead of having to enter the starting time and ending times in specific formats, you can just type descriptive event text which includes time information in the text itself (see event examples pictured).
* The only thing you need to do special is put date lines between each day's events on the notecard in a special format. ("[Date]MMDDYY") Just type the date and the board will fill in the weekday for you.
* It only updates once a day, so all the events of that day will continue to be listed until the current SLT day ends. (If you want a board where events drop off as time elapses during the day, then check out our Upcoming Club Event Schedule Board, but that board requires you to enter start and end time data for every event in a special format.)
* Guests can scroll the board forward to see events tomorrow and the days after that. (Whereas the Upcoming board is only meant to show events coming up soon.) If you stop scrolling, it resets to today's date after a minute. The board will always repeat the most recent date on the top line if that day's events stretch over a page break and it will also not put a date on the lowest line.
We were inspired to create this Daily schedule board by looking at some of the Google-Calendar-based schedule boards, but we realized that those boards actually grab very little information from Google Calendar -- just a line of text and not even an ending time. We figured, why not avoid the hassle of setting up Google Calendar and just use a notecard to enter that text? Because the board saves memory by reading lines directly from the notecard, you can put a LOT of events on that notecard.
We include two types of the board. The first type (the "high capacity" version) uses the same small font used in the Google Calendar boards (called "xyzzy text", it's been around in SL for more than ten years). That text allows a ton of data to be crammed on the board (64 characters per line!) but the font is plain and parts of the board can look fuzzy at times (Because xyzzy text uses more than 50 textures -- your SL viewer has to load a lot of textures.).
The second type of board (we include base, goth, cyber, and western versions -- which are all basically the same but with different format choices) uses prettier fonts, . These boards allow fewer characters (40 characters per line x 12 lines, versus 64 characters x 15 lines on the first version) but the font is prettier and you get many font choices. They're also less likely to have fuzzy episodes because they only use one font texture at a time, not 50.
Both types have touch menus with lots of formatting choices -- you can select colors for the main text, date line text, background & frame. You can also select textures for the background and the frame. (see pictures) Because the boards are mod, you can manually change and tint the background or frame textures to whatever you like -- the ones available on the menu are just a starting point. We assume you will customize it for your club. If you want help customizing it, contact us! It's not hard for us to put in a new font just for your club.

NOTE THAT WE SELL FOUR TYPES OF SCHEDULE BOARDS:
1) Daily -- (this one) shows the entire day of events until that day ends. Data entered via notecard and requires the date to be in a special format.
2) Upcoming -- shows next four upcoming events. Events roll off as they end. Requires you to input dates, start time, and duration for each event. Repeating events need only be entered ONCE using a "repeat code". Data entered via a touch menu.
3) Weekday -- Like the Daily but you DON'T need to enter dates. it has separate input notecards for Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun events. Shows that current weekday's schedule until that day ends.
4) Weekly -- shows the entire week's worth of events at a glance. Doesn't even need dates. Programmed by clicking different parts of the board. If your schedule is the same every week then it doesn't need to be updated at all!
