Build comfortable Offsim Creations for your Customers. Use this controller to make the adjustment simple and comfortable.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:
The adjuster is used to make your offsim objects easy and convenient to position.
IT CAN ONLY BE OPERATED BY THE LINKSET OWNER!
It is rezzed with your linkset, which you roughly position in the offsim direction at the sim border.
To do this, the controller is placed with the "grass button" in the direction of the sim.
Now it offers the following options:
- (thick arrow keys) single step movement in 1m steps in offsim and sim direction
- (narrow double arrow key) Turbo movement in offsim direction.
- (curve double arrows) single step rotation in 1° grid left and right
- (Labeled central button) Button for finalizing (The adjuster becomes invisible and goes into standby mode. It can be made visible again with Control ALT T. If it is pressed again, the adjuster becomes visible and active again)
If you never want to change the rezzed object after the adjustment has been made, the script can be deleted after finalization.
ATTENTION! As long as the set is not finalized, no AVAS should sit on the linkset!!!! This changes the number of links and leads to the desired script reset in setup mode. As a result, the adjustability of the linkset changes.
Once the set is finalized and the controller is invisible, the linkset can be used with as a sitting pose.
AvSitter seems to be only suitable to a limited extent because it communicates between the many scripts via chat, and these are subject to the chat range of the SL Sim. This means that the AVSitter menus do not go offsim over a large distance. The Avas then get no menu, or the entries are ignored.
The problem lies with Avsitter which is only designed for close range. You can then bring the offsim element closer to the sim on the controller in 1m steps until the menu works.
SET UP INSTRUCTION:
1. Rezzes a controller
2. Decides in which language the controller outputs should be made. German "D" and English "E" are currently supported.
This is set in the controller in the PrimDescription line, and applied to Script Reset. Just put a "D" or an "E" in there.
As soon as you change the number of links under 6. the script reset is carried out and the selected language appears
3. Now rezz your offsim objects to be linked.
4. Place the offsim objects so they are on the water side of the controller.
5. Now first select all your parts and then finally the controller. Now press link. (Attention all parts must have the same owner)
6. The script resets automatically as soon as the number of links changes and the controller is not "finalized".
7. Take the linkset into your inventory.
8. Rezz a copy for testing.
- Drive the offsim links with the narrow controller double arrow maximum offsim.
How far that goes depends on SL Limits and your linkset. The script determines this automatically and subtracts 3m as a reserve.
- Then bring it back to 0 position with the grass button and check if all parts are still in the right distance to each other.
It is unfortunately an SL problem that the theoretical value of 54m for the linkset radius does not always work.
The cause seems to lie in the nature of the linked parts.
If this is the case, I have included a reduction in the permitted sliding distance in the script. This is 3m in the normal version.
Then take the reduced-travel "LR" variant. If this doesn't help, contact me for support.
