The Gran Sabana, also known as Guianan savannah, is a region located in southeastern Venezuela.

The location offers one of the most unusual landscapes in the world, with rivers, waterfalls and gorges, deep and vast valleys, impenetrable jungles and savannahs that host large numbers and varieties of plant species, a diverse fauna and the plateaus better known as "tepuis."

Here I offer you Heliconia psittacorum from the wet low land of Gran Sabana. This plant can be seen in large patchs mixed with grass over the savannah ground.
