You get 2 pens - Prop Pen and Writing Pen.
They look alike.
1. Prop Pen - 3 prims. It contains no scripts, and can be simply worn as a prop, or laid on a table or desk (or wherever) for decoration.
The Prop Pen is copy/trans. Please feel free to give away copies.
2. Writing Pen - 3 prims. It contains a license-protected writing script, so I cannot make it transferable. It is copy only.
If you wear the writing pen, you automatically go into a "Sit and write at table" animation. This is useful if you have a chair that has no writing animation, but you'd like to pull it up to a table and use it for a desk chair.
- Animated Pen can be used at any table, whether scripted or not
- Non-animated pen can be worn as a prop, or laid out for decoration

I can't tell you how impressed I am with this little trinket. It's just a simple pen, but the writing animation is what I was really after. For 0L, the ability for me to actually sit at a desk and write in SL while I write in FL is not only meta, it's quite quaint. My thanks!
