[Jammin] Modular Roof Set - Copy/Mod/Trans

A fully modular roofing system - Quickly and easily construct a huge variety of roof shapes and sizes.

Stone trims with texture/material sets to match Jammin's contruction sets, and 12 roof components in small and large sizes, with different corners, junctions and end pieces.

Linksets are included to be used as-is or simply as examples of possible combinations.

Viewing in-world at the Jammin store is highly recommended!

Mesh
All components are designed to grid-snap together for quick and painless building. All roof, and most trim meshes are 1 LI or less, the exceptions being the quarter and half round trim pieces, which are 2 and 3 LI respectively.

Roof meshes come in large (3) and small (9) varieties. They can be used separately, or combined together. Most (with the exception of the round end pieces) are designed to snap together at 4 metre intervals on the X and Y axis. On the Z (height) axis, the large pieces snap at 4m, while the smaller at 2m.

The straight pieces - large and small - can be scaled lengthwise to suit, adjusting your texture repeats as necessary.

The types of pieces you use will depend in large part on how large a roof you construct. A roof that is 4m wide will be made from the smaller pieces, an 8m wide from the large. To go even larger you can combine the two types. Please see the included linksets for examples.

It is recommended you build your complete shape at default size, then adjust your scale if required - this will ensure everything remains easy to snap together.

The trim pieces are semi-optional. You can build without them, however in order to keep land-impact down, the roof meshes has no detail on the undersides and may look strange with any significant overhang.

The trims are highly versatile, with straight, curved, corner and end pieces. If combining this set with the 'Pillar & Arches Construction set,' these roof trims can be used in lieu or combination with the generic trim included with that set.

Textures/Materials
All roof pieces have 2 texture faces, 1 for the top, and 1 for the sides/bottom. The sides and bottom can be mapped seamlessly with any texture of your choice.

The trims likewise has 2 faces, allowing you to change color tints for the sides and top capping stones.

Trim diffuse textures come in grey and brown, to match Jammin's construction sets.

The roof tiles diffuse texture is a neutral grey which can be tinted to any color you wish.

The full permissions version of this product also contains AO/Shadow Maps.
