"Kool Server for CasperLet" is a single script to drop in your CasperLet units in order to allow Kool Doors to connect to the rental system.
■ What it does ?
1. When someone rents your home:
- Tenant and sub-tenants are automatically granted access to Kool Doors.
- They can add access for a list of names, independently for the CasperLet system.
- They can add access for one group of their choice, independently from the prim or land group.
- They can allow everyone (party mode) then switch back to private access in one click.
2. Your CasperLet managers:
- Managers get full access to Kool Door setup menus.
- When a unit is not rented, managers can set doors to allow everyone for visits, or restrict access to owner/managers only.
■ What do you need ?
- The "Kool Server for CasperLet" script (in this box !)
- The "Kool Door BOX", to build your houses with Kool Doors v3 (to buy separately).
- The CasperLet rental system (to buy separately from CasperTech).
■ How to setup ?
1. Drop the "Kool Server for CasperLet" script in your CasperLet unit (box, meter... which contains the CasperLet script). It will auto-assign an available server number. (e.g., first unit will be Server=101, second unit will be Server=102... up to 399).
2. Pair the corresponding Kool Doors to this server. Usually only the main doors. Drag mouse off the door to get the menu and in Control/Server, select the corresponding server for this house (101...399).
3. Repeat for each rental.
If you need to change a server number, click the rental unit, discard the CasperLet menu, CLICK THE LINK IN CHAT to get the 'Kool Server menu' for managers (within 20 m of the unit). There you can set a new number, list all servers on sim, or list connected doors (with their TP links).
You can also enable/disable visitor access when not rented. Use the 'Send' button to apply this setting to all other servers.
■ Notes
The system works for the SAME OWNER, You must own everything: "Kool Server for CasperLet", "Kool Doors" and the "CasperLet" system.
The "Kool Server for CasperLet" works like a regular "Kool Server". You can mix both in the same sim, but each needs a unique number. Doors still in Ctrl=Alone (not yet connected to a server), will use Server=1 to check for manager/admin access, so it’s best to always have a server 1 active if you have admins.
If you need to buy the "Kool Doors", know that they work also without CasperLet. They work in stand alone mode, or connected to a "Kool Server" for multiple-groups access and more. They also upgrade "Kool Builder Door" scripts used in many builds sold on Marketplace.
This product is designed to work with CasperLet v1.55 (tested July 2025). We will do our best to keep it working with this system, yet we are not liable if CasperLet receives drastic changes or is discontinued.

Uh... A nightmare
If you have more than 4 doors to configure, this script is going to make your life a living hell. It automatically assigns server numbers to CasperLet units but not the KoolDoor, which means that you'll get random combinations between the doors. What is worse, you can't manually set numbers, and if it finds two numbers it doesn't ask which server number to update so you'll be going back and forth trying to figure out which door opens with which rental unit.
Your best bet is to rezz all the rental units you need where you need them, check that they have unique server numbers, and only then go set the server numbers to the KoolDoors as you have to do that manually, anyway.

Yes, I put Kool Doors in Kool Rezzers that have been set for specific configurations. Works great in doing region wide swaps.
The scripts work great in the Casper for rentals. I also use the Kool Servers on same regions for game mixes on site. I use the door scripts making builds and may have one or more moving objects in a item. Having separate servers plus with the available configuration options on each door provides a variety of options for any site.

Perfect for rentals
If you have a place with room and apartment rentals, and you're using Kool door scripts and Casperlet, this script automatically controls access to the doors when rented, allows for visits when not rented. I'm using it a lot and it works without a flaw.
