Polypropylene

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was the first to suggest making stackable plastic chairs just before WWII as a functional design solution to address both cost and space issues. The first plastic chairs appeared in the 1960s, notably the Panton chair, but it was only when awesome polypropylene was used to make them, in the late 90s, that they could be mass produced and become the marvelous thing they are today, colorful, durable, and amazingly adapted to the human bottom.

Let's have a fond thought for oil...

Love,
Haye
