RETRO HI-FI RADIO
RETRO HI-FI RADIO
*****************
Land impact - 2 prims
CONTENTS:
*2 x COPIABLE HI-FI RADIOS (non-transferable)
For your convenience I have included two COPIABLE Hi-Fi's - one already preset for ALL ACCESS, and one for GROUP ACCESS (i.e, only group members can change the music station)
*2 x TRANSFERABLE HI-FI RADIOS (non-copiable)- Use the Transferable/non copy Hi-Fi if your land is DEEDED to a group. Again, one is set for ALL ACCESS, the other for GROUP ACCESS only.
SETUP:
1. IMPORTANT: Make sure your land is set correctly for playing sound content. If you are on rented land owned by a group, also make sure you have permissions to change the music station of your own parcel. Check with the Estate Manager if in doubt.
2. Rez the Hi-Fi on the ground and wait for the stations to load. (You can use the copiable Hi-Fi's if you own the land yourself, or if it is set to a group that you yourself have created. However if the land is group owned/deeded, use the Transferable version of the Hi-Fi instead and Deed it to the group.)
3. Radio stations - 42 stations in various genres have already been added to your Hi-Fi. To delete any stations and add your own (you will need to delete existing ones before adding add your own - see explanation note below**), right click the Hi-Fi, select the Contents tab and open the notecard ".abRadioConfig". Follow the format towards the bottom of the notecard where the stations are listed, eg, to add a rock radio station to the Rock genre, type in the station name followed by "=" and then the URL of the radio station.
**Please note that the script limits the number of stations you can have on your Hi-Fi so you will need to delete any stations you don't want before adding your own.
4. To operate your Hi-Fi, click on it and a blue menu will pop up. Click a genre and select one of the stations within that genre.
5. Operation permissions - You can change the Hi-Fi to allow anyone to operate the Hi-Fi (ie, change stations) the radio station (or just yourself as Owner) by editing the "abRadioConfig" card. Where it says "Permission=", type "all" "group" or "owner" after this.
OTHER INFO:
The Hi-Fi can be resized to suit your personal land. To do this, Right click/Edit the Hi-Fi, select the gray handles at the corner with your mouse and drag to resize.
The Hi-Fi's are set to Bright, however you can turn this off if you prefer: Right click/Edit, select "Texture" tab and unclick the "Full Bright" box.

Nice retro low LI radio
Set up in no-time, has built-in streams so you can get right to the music. Great deal for 75L looks like everyone's set-up in the 80s :D
It looks cool and sounds great!
It really does look nice in my home. It reminds me of the set my parents had. There is plenty of detail even close up, and only 2 land impact is great. I can't believe the price is so low for all you get. You will not be disappointed.
