Create your own race track with checkpoints and laps.
Read below to see how it works...
HOW TO SETUP:
Please rez the Race Track Demo and inspect the setup. You may need to find a sandbox, it's quite large.
You will notice there is a green flag and multiple blue flags placed around the track.
The green flag contains the Start Checkpoint script and the blue flags contain the Mid Checkpoint script.
The Start Checkpoint flag defines the start and end point of the circuit, the other flags define points within the track that the racers must pass through for a valid completion of the track.
This prevents people cheating and enforces the racers to complete the track fairly.
Inside the Start Checkpoint script you will find some settings that you can change at the top of the script...
integer total_checkpoints = 3;
integer total_laps = 5;
total_checkpoints is the total number of Mid Checkpoint flags
total_laps is how many laps each complete race will have
To start the race, the flag containing the Start Checkpoint script must be touched. A 3 second countdown will then start and the race will begin.
Upon completing each lap, the racer will be told about their current lap and the time it took them to complete the lap.
That is everything!
