resizer scripts 2.02
The easiest way to let users resize a NO MOD object.
The menu lets users resize the object on each axis seperately even if the creator made it NO MOD.
Ideal for creators, lets you sell resizable items with NO MOD.
Easy setup (only 2 scripts involved) The final version leaves only ONE script in the root prim, so almost NO LAG.
* No notecards needed
* No manual deletion of scripts needed
* No manual replacement of scripts needed
* Only 1 script in final product: low lag
* Max number of linked prims is about 120
* NOTE: each prim will be resized along its own axis!
* so DONT use rotated prims in the linkset.
The script is easy to use, but you must follow these instructions EXACTLY!
Resizer script Instructions:
1) Copy the "resize main" and "resize s***e" scripts into the root prim
2) Touch the object. This will initiate the sequence needed for the resizer and will copy the resize s***e script into all the linked parts automatically.
3) When it finishes that task, it will instruct you with chat to "take me to your inventory, rez me again, select me, then select Tools/Set Scripts To Running in Selection"
Do so: Take the object into inventory and then re-rez it form inventory.
4) Now select the object and set the scripts to running: choose "Set Scripts to Running in Selection" from the SecondLife "Tools" menu.
Selecting the object is done through rightclicking and selecting ""Edit" from the pie menu. The "Tools"menu is located at the top of your viewer screen.
5) The next message will be: "Setup completed successfully. Touch me to get a menu."
All the s***e scripts will have been removed form all the linked parts automatically.
The system only leaves the resize main script in the root prim. Touch the object again to get a menu to resize it.
ATTENTION!
There are 2 versions of this script. (A) resizes the object on all 3 axis at once, (B) allows you to resize the object on each axis seperately.
Make sure you buy the right one.

GENERAL NOTE
If, when resizing, one of the linked objects becomes too small (any dimension below 0.01) the remaining objects WILL be able to be resized even smaller. The smallest object however will NOT be able to become smaller so the overall look of the object will slightly change. Since the smallest object is now very tiny it will be hardly noticeable. When you scale the object up again, the original dimensions and positions will be re-established again. So: instead of blocking further downward scaling when one of the linked prims becomes too small the script will remember the original dimensions and bring back the correct dimensions/positions if the object is scaled up again.
The maximum number of prims in the linked object that can be handled is about 120.
NOTE FOR PRODUCT DEVELOPERS
After step 4 you can set your product to the permissions you need it to be. The product can be set to NO MOD if you like, because the script will be able to resize it.
You may want to set the resize main script to NO TRANS before selling the product. You might want to take the finished product into inventory and delete the intermediate one created in step 3.
it works but
creates an unnecessary amount of copies in my inv. In 7 years i've never run into a script that requires me to take something into inv and re-rez it. tedious.
Exactly what i wanted and what it advertises...independent axis rezing. Works perfectly.
