HISTORICAL DESCRIPTION and CHARACTERISTICS:
Brigs are a class of sailing ship with 2 masts with square-sails (perpendicular to keel) and intermediate+forward triangular stay-sails. Brigs are very fast and quick turning, with a low draft, but cannot sail as close to the wind as Schooners and other fore-aft rigged ships. They typically were outfitted with 18 huge 36-pounder cannon and required smaller crews than major Galleon/Frigate/Ships-Of-The-Line.
FAIR & CONSISTENT IMPLEMENTATION:
To ensure consistency in: Size; Shape+Structure; Cannons: Speed; Turning; Sailing/Winds; Damage Vulnerability, etc,. all of the Restless-Swords Tall-Ships (RSTS) use identical scripts configured with ship-specific performance parameters.
Because this ship uses the "Tako-Race-Wind", the sailing wind is not the wildly erratic SL-Wind but is instead the slowly varying wind used by most SL Battle-Ships.
