REPLICA SERIES
Armée de l'Air EMB-121 Xingu II Double Pack
École d'Aviation de Transport (EAT) 00.319
Base Aérienne 702 Capitaine Georges Madon, Avord, France
- EAT 319 XIngu 30 years 300,000 hours celebration livery YB-073
- EAT 319 standard 2014 blue gray livery YP-099
The EMB-121 has been in use by the French military since 1982. Of a total of 41 aircraft sold to France, 25 were assigned to the Armée de l'Air, and these are represented in this set by serials YB-073 and YP-099.
Note that in real life the Xingu operated by the French is the one using two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-28 three blade propellers, though the French Navy actually bought two Xingu II aircraft equipped with the four blade propeller Pratt & Whitney PT6A-135 (the model Dani Airplane's has available).
YB-073
To celebrate the 30 years and 300,000 hours of flight of the type with the École d'Aviation de Transport (EAT) 00.319, one aircraft received a special livery design in June 2014, being placed at Avord in static display. This livery is an exact replica of YB-073 (except for the 4 blade propellers!) as it stands by the Base Aérienne 702, only in SL you get to fly her!
YP-099
The standard French Armée de l'Air livery was a blue gray in use by 2014 during the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the French Air Force - with the exception of the engines (the YP-099 uses the 3 blade PT6A-28) this is an exact replica of serial 099 as flown from BA 702, Avord, France, in 2014.
CUSTOM SERIAL NUMBERS
If you like other tail numbers contact Asra Kron (x4ten resident) via notecard for rates on the required livery. Note that since these are REPLICAS I will only apply real tail numbers as used by the French Armée de l'Air.
Enjoy your French Air Force Xingus!
