Setup Process (Assumes you know how to edit objects in Second Life):
1. Rez an elevator floor, use SL's build tools to allign it to your building or elevator shaft how you want it
2. Using SL's build tool click on the blue arrow (z axis) shift drag the elevator floor frame upward and allign it to the next floor. Do this as many floors you want
2a. Optionally for this elevator, you can have floors shift diagonally on one axis
The shaft direction between floors must be consistant (eg: the elevator will go between floors directly)
3. Edit each floor's description field with the format of "Elevator_name,floornumber" without quotes. (Example: "Default,1" without quotes)
extra note: You can also add a floor name designation, right next to the floor number! (Example: "Default,1,B1" without quotes)
4. Place elevator track pieces between floors where needed, forming a continous track!
5. Rez the elevator car, set it's description field to the Elevator_name you set on the floors
6. Click the Aluveaux Technologies logo inside the elevator car, on the display screen! The main menu appears, and select reset on it.
If the elevator doesn't recognise floors right away, reset the floor scripts with SL's build menu (contents tab, reset scripts), then repeat step 6!
!!IMPORTANT!! If you have to move the floors and the elevator, Repeat step 6 on the setup process! (Resetting the elevator)
More notes for step 1: Turn on transparency highlight, you'll see an allign side on the floors, that should match up with the shaft, and if the shaft is placed at an angle, the allign side should bisect the shaft piece at it's middle
More note for step 5: After setting the description of the elevator, you can take it to your inventory, and re-rez it any time with that elevator id. The elevator does reset and setup everything on rez too
Customizing:
Elevator track pieces can be resized vertically, and you can adjust the vertical texture repeats to keep it continous looking.
If you want to have doors for your floor, you can use any AT Universal Door from the marketplace. Put the door near the floor, and put the elevator door plugin into its contents.
Set the door's description to match the floor's description! Be sure the door is within chat range of the elevator floor!
!!IMPORTANT!! The Elevator is NOT resize friendly! Resizing the elevator results in unexpected behavior!
Design hints with modperms:
To save landimpact you can unlink and remove unused floor buttons! You do have to reset the elevator scripts after that. You can also shift drag off more floor buttons! Change their name to the rest of the buttons.
General Interactivity:
The maximum interaction distance is 12 meters! Be sure to be standing inside that in order to use the elevator!
Clicking the AT Logo on the display screen will show up the owner menu, works for the owner only
Clickable buttons described under
Click a floor number button to order the elevator there. You can click multiple floor numbers, the elevator will go to each in order of pressing the buttons!
Click the Hold button to toggle the hold mode. When the hold mode is active, the elevator will not close the doors if they are open, and will not depart even with closed doors!
Click the open door icon to open the doors
Click the close door icon to close the doors
On the floors there are call buttons, press this to summon the elevator to the current floor.
Calls are handled like the floor buttons, in the order of requests!
Owner Menu:

Excellent product all around!
I got this to be able to move smaller vehicles (cars to delivery vans) from the road level to the top of an unreasonably steep and unresponsive-to-terraforming plot that I purchased before I knew it was that way. Now my little spot looks uber cool and the lift is super functional. It's very easy to install and set up, and once set, the elevator snaps to the vertical shaft created by the floors that you install. It functions exceptionally well, controls are intuitive, the textures and sounds are outstanding, and you can really design this for whatever situation you have. I have the tracks vertical for the space I'm in. I'm not in a sci-fi setting and textured the base of the tracks to concrete and it looks great (though I do like those black metal plates and have been looking for them). The base of the tracks comes without a texture on it. I was a little nervous to set the elevator up because it seemed like it would be complicated, but a careful read of the helpful instructions and you'll be good to go. Super pleased with this purchase!
