almost as great as the real thing!
I bought this even though none of my favorite 2600 games were included (except Berzerk!!), and I'm glad I did. I wasn't familiar with the web-based emulator Javatari before now, but it's as solid a VCS emulator as any I've tried. The novelty of loading up my own ROMs and playing them on a TV screen in Second Life cannot be overstated; it's a pleasure to play my all-time favorite video game, Mountain King, from inside my virtual house. The Xbox controller support is pretty slick, too.
I especially appreciate being given both "auto-off" and "never-off" versions of the console. Many Atari programs have mesmerizing "attract mode" screens, so I left the "never-off" version in a commons area on a public sim I maintain with a couple other folks. I put the "auto-off" version in my own house, which is on a mainland parcel. (The actual TV looks great, too -- ours was almost exactly like this.)
