<< Now over 5000 sales (Apr 2024) - thank you all! >>
15th Dec 2024 - yes, the HUD just got me and my wife into the LeLutka free head sim :) again this year! Took about five minutes for her and ten minutes for me (she's luckier than me) to get in, then ten minutes to actually get the head. #worth it!
A good tip... if you know the time an event (sim) opens, start running the TP HUD a bit before to beat the rush (with a bit of luck). We've done that a few times and been the first in, and the Sim was full within the next couple of seconds.
****************************************
This teleport HUD is to get you into those full shopping or event regions. You know, the ones where you always get your TP rejected for the first few days as everyone is clamouring to get in. Just set the HUD running, then sit back and relax with a coffee.
This HUD can store many Landmarks from your inventory (just drag and drop them in), allowing you to choose an active one from a menu.
You can also enter an SLurl copied from chat or the map, or even just type in a region name alone.
Then, click the big green GO button to hammer on the sim's door! Once you have arrived, the HUD will play a fanfair in case you are AFK but within earshot.
All TP HUDs work in one of two ways. Mine uses both, not that it really matters despite what some people try to tell you when selling their HUDs. There's no 'magic' to it. It's all down to luck provided the script is competent.
A properly written TP HUD (like this, I can't speak for others) CANNOT cause the sim to lag or anything else. That's one of those common rumours that is just not true (maybe it was 15 years ago). I care about SL and wouldn't sell this if it caused problems. The owner of a big event sim recently confirmed this in group chat; that TP HUDs were perfectly OK to use.
If it matters, the HUD is 100% mesh. Right, that makes a big difference, lol. It does look nice though.

Please note the following, which apply to *all* TP HUDs and scripts, to prevent any misunderstanding about how these things work:
1. You *must* accept the "teleport permission" notice from the HUD you when you attach it for it to work. If you miss the message, open it again from the notifications and click yes. The HUD will not function at all until you do. Detach and reattach the HUD if you lose the message.
2. Don't worry about the 'failed teleport' messages (the same as you get TPing manually). Just ignore it and close the message if you need to do something, or when you get there. Unfortunately there's no way to stop the error message happening and it does stop you interacting with the viewer until you close it. (The message on the screen does *not* stop the HUD trying to TP you; that's still working.)
3. The RED ERROR MESSAGES - are not a problem. A busy server (when the region is full) can cause the nicely spaced TP attempts to queue up at the server, outside the script's control or knowledge. It's like a lot of buses getting caught up in heavy traffic, and so all arriving at once. It will cause a red 'Too many errors... throttling...' message in chat and the script error mark on the screen. But...
*** The HUD is Still FULLY Working *** - you can IGNORE the red warnings.
It has not stopped, broken or crashed and is not causing a problem for the sim. You don't have to do anything, just let it keep going. The server has only ignored some of the attempts that arrived too closely and moaned about it. You can slow down the attempt timer if you want (try 6 seconds instead of 5), that's why the timer option is there. I just completely leave it alone though, and the HUD still gets me where I want.
4. No HUD can guarantee *immediate* TP into a full region. There must be a space in the sim, just at the moment that the HUD tries to TP you in. It's a case of hitting a gap that is only a tiny fraction of a second for a busy event with many people trying to TP in all at once. The benefit of TP HUDs is that they save you sitting there constantly clicking your mouse, and can do it much more frequently which greatly ups the chance of catching that gap. Eventually you'll get lucky and the HUD's attempt will coincide with a gap, and you're in :)
5. The HUD is intended to TP you to another region. It will NOT TP you within the same region. What's the point - you are in!
6. Finally, the HUD works. If you really think the HUD is not working right, please IM me before leaving a rotten review. I get IM's in email, support my products and am never far away from SL. I've sold thousands of HUDs and it works exactly as expected.
Thank you for listening :)
- Uses both auto-TP methods
- Stores multiple Landmarks in the HUD
- Alerts you with a sound when you arrive
- Works with SLurls and manually typed regions
I got in
Worth every Linden!
I got in and got the free head :)
How do you stop it?
After using it for a few minutes, I decided to give up but I couldn't press stop. Too many other popups competing for attention. Every time I closed a popup, it would just start again. It got so crazy, like whack a mole. There may be something I don't understand. Please help!
The best, so far
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't (right away) in a full sim. If you try any other teleport HUD, from the freebies to ones that cost many times more than this one, you will not get any better performance. It's just the way SL is :) Anyway, keep trying the HUD when you need to get in to a full event. You'll realize it does work eventually.
Got me into the Blueberry sale!
That did the trick. Took a little while still , but it worked. Usually I can't get in Blueberry at all when there's a sale on.
Perfect and quick
Thanks for this :)
It worked perfectly, took about two minutes. It is great being able to save the landmarks in the HUD or use an SLURL from a group notice when you don't have a landmark.
