This is the lower part of a body-suit, waist to crotch, covering similar to granny-panties, in various ways and shapes.
If you are having issues with an outfit's mesh "splitting" center between the legs when your avi's AO animations bend you over, one of these may work for you. Love the AOs with the great animations - but they really give *mesh models* a stretch and split sometimes. Sellers cannot tell this nor can they possibly "own" every single AO in SL to tests. Some don't include alpha files at all, others include alpha files made in with the best of intentions and testing on their own stuff, but may never know one AO out of hundreds may just push the mesh too far and split. So, these were made, to battle that issue.
I also have an alpha bag for "boy shorts", and of course the difference is this bag focuses on that split in the center crotch and parts north to the top of the "lower" uv zone. See image yellow-marks for what is covered here.
