▶ Kool BUILDER Door is for creators selling their builds. You will build your doors fast, working immediately the way you want. Only one script to drop in your own prim or mesh to have all the possible movements with no configuration errors.
Your final users will get robust doors on which they can set the access (owner, group, everyone, list of names) .
Note: door prim is copy/trans/mod, door script is copy/trans/NO MOD.
- Easy and intuitive configuration by menu (for builder only), no cryptic notecard. You see immediately how the door moves at each menu click while setting the direction, angle, speed, etc.
- Door rotates, slides, or moves like a curtain in any X Y Z axis direction. Works in prims, meshes, sculpts. No need of cut prims.
- FREE PIVOT POSITION, ideal for garage door, drawbridges, asymmetric meshes, etc.
- Doors can be linked to the house, movement is always the same. Safe for rez system. By linking the doors to your build, end users won't loose or mess the doors when moving their build. This is great for furnitures as well.
- Double doors synchro opening.
- Auto-close (after selected time, or auto: once avatar left range), or manual close.
- Auto-open on collision (walk through) and/or by click, if access is allowed.
- Opening speed is selectable from fast to very slow.
- 8 sounds included, or drop your custom sounds.
- Access for: owner, group, everyone, plus names in notecard. Final user can change the access.
- Optional sculpted lever to control the door (for cage, drawbridge, secret trap door...).
- Door settings survive a script reset or prim copy. Once you configured a door, you can simply copy it to replicate the same configuration.
- Doors will keep their positions when the build is rezzed again, even if some doors were opened while packaging the build.
- Optional API fullperm scripts included (llMessageLinked). If you are at ease with LSL scripting, you can action the door with your own scripts, or generate your own messages when door is actioned.
- You can of course drop the script in your own created prims (normal, sculpted, mesh).
- Free support & one-click auto-updates with future versions.
▶ What your customers will get:
- As such, your final users will get a perfectly working door on which they can set the access (owner, group, everyone, list of names) and opening and closing modes (manual / auto). This is ideal for residential home.
- Optionally, final users can upgrade in one click to their RP version, if they need it for RolePlay. It will add to their doors the RP options (lockpick, knock, messages...), optional Server connection, textures selector, and the full configuration menu. Your builds need to have next owner MODIFY permission set on all door prims. This is a great option if you sell items for the RolePlay community.

By using these Kool BUILDER scripts, you accept the following License Agreement with Kool Mekanic:
- You cannot transfer the scripts to anyone before having set NO TRANSFER permission for NEXT OWNER on script K1000-DOOR BUILDER.
- You can use the scripts only in builds you sell at a reasonable market price (no freebies).
- You cannot distribute the scripts in a simple door or moving prim. The door must be part of a bigger build like a house, fort, cage, drawbridge, etc.
- You understand that only the movement script is transferable. The builder configuration HUD/menu is not transferable.
- Scripts are NO MOD (except the API scripts).
- You should allow next owner MODIFY permission on all door prims, so final users can upgrade the scripts.
- We recommend you display in your product information "Kool Door ready" or use the included logo on your product image.
- No textures are included (due to other creators licenses).

Yep, that's for sure the best door scripting building i've seen.
It just got everything, for all types of doors, and with a easy way to set it up with the menu!
It justify the price, and you will never need to search other door scripts anymore :)

... and you never left a review, my bad! Well I have it 8 years, and 8 years of zero problems with it, can by used for more than just doors, renting land and don't like the big pay sign? dump a big rock on it to hide it, add script in rock, have a tiny rock as a lever so when you need to pay the month's rent, click small rock to slide big rock away, possibilities are endless!
Any Door, Any Build
I bought this hopefully and then fought with it because the instructions were not helpful. That's, in fact, the only weakness.
You really can script any type of door. You can link and unlink them. Resize the door (remember to reset the script).
I have several doors that I have yanked off my previous builds for reuse. Be sure the orientation is correct, test, retexture and link. Done.
It's so easy. I even rescript doors in things I buy.
Can't go wrong. I promise.

this is idiot proof, just do what it says and you can have a working door in a minute (a minute? YES! well maybe two but that is it!)

AND you can set them up even before you have finished the build (that amazed me, it does not at all seem to care what it is linked too,
I was even able to resize doors (on all axis!)after i had already set them up and had them linked to the build, and the door did not snap back to its previous shape/size
ect that last bit truly blew my mind
I was absolutely amazed! (not just saying that, i really was mind blow)
there are only two things that i could list as a less attractieve thing about this script,
1 the creator of this script decides that you can not make your product transferable for next owner ..
and yes for me as a creator that is a thing when others decide my perms on my builds,..
id prefer to have the option to have my build set the way i want to, but using this script means i will need to write in my manuals, "if you wish to transfer this build you will need to take out the door scripts and replace them with your own"
strategically clever because now even my customer would need to buy this tool if they want to one day give their thing away so more income for the the scriptor that is super clever!
2 while you can have custom sounds you do not have the option to use one sound, eg only make sound on open not on closed or visa versa, witch normally id have.
Also you cant adjust the sound for just 1 .. either the whole door on both opening and closing will have a sound at the same volume or no sound, cant have a soft squeeck open and a louder slam shut, not possible with this system you can not adjust volume independently
so i will keep my eyes open for a creator that has less arrogance what someone else does w their product
Just what I needed
After my regular script got "borked" and was not allowing me to sell with edit permissions I reluctantly purchased "Kool Doors" and have not been disappointed. They are amazing, this script does it all, single doors, double doors, doors with a badly made shape that don't pivot properly, this makes it all work. And work full trans, and gives the buyer some features of their own, such as locking and guest list.

Needs little patience, and it does loads of tricks :) Really working , at first didnt think it will work as other SL door scripts sold on marketplace, but it is THE BEST! im very positively surprised! really, dont think, just buy it ! :)
