The Bright Futura is a futuristic living pod with the following features:

* Click-operated lockable doors
* Integral lights with adjustable colour and intensity
* Walls with variable transparency: set independently inside and out
* When used on the ground, supported by pillar: perfect for uneven ground
* When used as a skybox, supported by jet with particle flame effect
* Only 8 prims!
* Copyable: rez as many as you wish!

OPENING THE BOX

Drag the "Bright Futura boxed #001" from your Inventory onto the ground.
Right-click the box and click "Open" from the circular menu.
Click "Copy to Inventory": creating a new folder in your inventory.
Close the contents window and delete the box.

PUTTING UP YOUR HOME

Drag the "Bright Futura #011" from your Inventory onto the ground.
Right-click it and click "Edit..." from the circular menu which appears.
Drag the red, blue and green arrows to move your home into position.
NOTE: feel free to bury the pillar into the ground, especially in uneven terrain - that's what it's for!

CONVERTING YOUR FUTURA INTO A SKYBOX

Click the pillar to convert it into a jet.
Right-click the building and click "Edit..." from the circular menu which appears.
If there is a button labelled "More >>", click it so that it says "<< Less".
Click the "Object" tab.
Under the title "Position", change the value of "Z" to the height you wish to live at.
When you hit "return", the skybox will disappear from view - having flown up to its new height.
(Most skyboxes are between cloud level at 250m, and the ceiling for building at 750m.)
Fly up to your Futura, click on the door at the end, fly inside, and create a landmark.
(You need a 'flight assist' to fly high. If you don't have one, drag this into your Inventory and *wear* it.)

USING THE DOORS

There is a semi-spherical door at each end of the Futura, which opens when clicked.
Click and hold down your mouse button for more than two seconds to display the settings menu.
Welcome: switch automatic greetings on and off.
Doorbell: switch the doorbell on and off. The doorbell sounds when an authorised person clicks.
Autoclose: program the door to close automatically after 20 seconds, 60 seconds, 5 minutes, or stay open.
On closing: switch the door closing sound effect on and off.
On opening: switch the door opening sound effect on and off.
On locked: switch the door locked (access refused) sound effect on and off.
Access: program the door to open for the owner only, members of the Futura's group, or anyone.

USING THE LIGHTS

Inside the Futura, click the ceiling to display the lighting menu.
Click "Off", "Low", "Medium", "High" or "Full" to set the strength of the light.
Click "White", "Red", "Green", "Blue", "Yellow", "Purple", or "Cyan" to select the colour of the light.

SETTING WALL TRANSPARENCY

Click the wall *between* the doors, display the transparency menu:
Set the transparency of the walls from the inside by clicking a button between "In 0%" and "In 100%".
0% means that the wall looks solid from the inside, 100% makes it invisible.
Set the transparency of the walls from the outside by clicking a button between "Out 0%" and "Out 100%".
0% makes the wall solid from the outside (for perfect privacy), 100% makes it invisible.
