Get a new perspective on SL, literally!
SL's default camera sits high in the air above your avatar, several metres in fact! This removes you, the SL user, from the immersion you would get if your camera was closer to your avatar's eye level. This also causes a lot of problems for builders, as the camera sitting so high up makes ceilings under 3-4metres a problem. This, in turn, contributes to people building huge double or triple scale buildings, and makes SL appear a lot smaller than it actually is.
This HUDis intended as a quick way to preview my improved camera settings. If you like the new view, you can then follow the instructions over on my blog and change the camera settings right in the viewer itself, no HUD necessary!

If you enjoy the new camera placement and agree this would benefit SL greatly, be sure to head over to the SL Jira and vote for it!

See item in Second LifeGreat when it works
To fix this script I had to add the following line to the start of state_entry()
llListenRemove(1);
Then after positioning the hud so I can see it and you can click the menu it works like a charm :)
Broken
Very good camera that Doomed Ship uses. The problem is it breaks for me (and everyone I've shared this HUD with) whenever people log off wearing it. I can't give it more than three stars for making me have to break out a new one every time I log off or crash.
great product !
Finally someone who understands why ceilings are way too high in SL and therefore avis ridiculous tall and so on :)))
Finally got rid of that crazy helicopter view :)))
Imcomprehensible that LL did not change this years ago !
And with some minor scripting skills you can edit the camera to your own wishes.
Great product and wonderfull freebee !!
Great concept but...
Camera was too jerky and I got motion sickness when my avatar was walking or running.
