This TV plays YouTube videos on any parcel. With the ease of clicking the screen, nearby people can watch the same video together. See your video of choice - picture perfect and free of YouTube interface overlays - just like on a retro TV. Everyone can zap to their favorite video so it's absolutely fantastic for watching in a group. Because unlike on other Youtube TVs, everyone will see the same videos!
We recommend the latest version of Second Life Viewer or Firestorm Viewer. No Quicktime or Adobe Flash needed, no parcel rights needed. Just enable Media and allow inworld scripts to play media.
Quick Usage: Click the screen to watch. Use the "Change Video" button to play another video (see below for more info).

New in v2.0, Build 1041 (June 2020):
- LL broke some LSL parsing which resulted in the instructions no longer being displayed. This update fixes the issue.
New in v2.0, Build 1040 (May 2020):
- Rewritten the script and coded a backend which removes the necessity to press a play button on screen, all videos now magically autostart.
- Videos will be intelligently rescaled so that more video content is visible than before, yet we still try to use as much screen space as makes sense.
- Due to changes in the new Youtube API we use, it is currently not possible to search for videos anymore. The new way to use the TV is by pasting a Youtube URL. That will now work like a charme!
- Since searching and running playlists is no longer an option, videos will repeat automatically. If you miss the search/playlist feature: Version 1.1 of this TV still works too. But I'm sure you'll love the new version.
- Redesigned the screen and on-screen description, making the text much smaller and better looking (can be turned invisible too).
- Added subtle materials effects to all surfaces, requires Advanced Lighting model (or simply Ultra graphics) turned on to become visible.
- Press the right knob to resize the TV (owner only).
- Adobe Flash is no longer needed so the product descriptions and vendors had to be updated.
- The TV can now be reset by hold-clicking the 'Change Video' button for more than 1 second.

This is one beautiful retro / vintage / classic TV. It just fits everywhere. While it's got great details, it uses only 6 prims (Mesh). No TV stand or table is included, so you can place it anywhere you like. This product comes with three 60's TV guides on top of the TV (can be turned invisible).
This is a low lag scripted product by Cann!bals. Just 97kb of scripts, with 0.005ms CPU time.
Instructions:
You simply click the 'Change Video' button and paste a Youtube URL. The TV then plays the video with auto-repeat.
Click the left green button to (un)hide the on-screen help text (visible when media inactive), click the right green button to (un)hide the 'Change Video' button (can still be clicked). Try clicking the magazines on top of the tv set to hide them too. Click the right knob to resize the TV. Hold-Click the 'Change Video' button to reset the TV (size excluded).
Once you have Media enabled, you can click the screen to watch YouTube.videos. If you change the video, all people watching the same TV will zap to the new video.
So everyone who clicks the screen can see the same video! This is so great for hanging out!
Since this TV uses Shared Media (Media Prim) technology, it works absolutely everywhere. You do not need to have parcel rights, you do not change the Parcel Media settings, you just rez and watch! This requires the latest version of Second Life Viewer or Firestorm.
Youtube videos will play full-screen (smart automatic scaling to use as much screen space as makes sense, it's very much like a real vintage TV with but with less black borders). There will be no terrible captions, no nagging ads at the bottom of the screen, there is no YT video controls, there is nothing on the screen but the video! This is the real vintage TV feeling. Nice Old school TV
Good functionality. Would like to see it offered in various sizes in the future. Still, a good 4.5 stars, near perfect.
Points off for no-mod and destruction of objects
I have long been looking for a YouTube player for SL that WORKS and this is it! Of course we have media on a prim but that has several annoyances, chiefly that it advances to the next video on YouTube even when you have that option unchecked. This player doesn't mercifully -- or at least I haven't seen it do so. You can either search on words or better yet, use the exact URL of the YouTube to turn it up. But here's why it only gets 3 stars: it's on no mod. There's no good reason for it because "no mod" doesn't protect copyright or anything. I fully respect copyright but everyone who puts on no-mod will lose points on a review. It means you can't shrink the TV to fit a table or recolour it or anything. Worst of all, if you take the no-transfer script and put it in another TV or painting object, you get a message that you "can't use our scripts outside our product" (as if this were iTunes) EVEN THOUGH it is on no-transfer. That is just creepy and grabby. Worst of all, it then instantly destroys the object you put in it. You are SOL if that is a single-copy issue. LL should not allow that kind of destructiveness. So if you can put up with these heavy restrictions, it's a good product. Of course having to put an app into your computer to see it is another hurdle. Someone else will do this better.
