The original Caribou was one of my first builds and was an attempt at building a log home in a style that follows the way one would be built in RL, using individual logs. This means a few more prims, but the result is a more realistic design. The Caribou III is the third version and follows the same basic design with a few new features and updated textures.
This home has a large footprint (approx 30 x 36) and uses 338 prims, but if you're seeking an authentic look, this is it. It includes a full kitchen, large open living and dining area with an upper loft (accessed by a set of spiral stairs), and a master bedroom with ensuite bath. French doors open onto a large stone patio from both the dining room area and the master bedroom, while a set of wood sliding doors leads out from the main living room.
There are two fireplaces - one in the great room and another in the bedroom. Both have touch on/off fire and chimney smoke. There is also a built in barbeque on the patio, which features an opening lid, on/off coals, and a barbeque animation that includes food, sizzling sounds, and smoke.
The ensuite bathroom features a clawfoot tub with bathing animation ball, as well as a vanity sink and toilet that plays a flushing sound when the handle is touched. The entire bathroom set may also be deleted to save prims if desired (18 prims). This is also true for the kitchen (38 prims).
Don't let my low prices lead you to believe these are slapped together boxes. I search SL and RL for the best textures I can find and spend many hours making each home as nice as I can. Look around and I'm certain you won't find a better home for the money.
All of my homes are copy/mod/no trans so you are free to make any changes you like to them. Some of the scripts are no mod and this will cause it to say no mod, but anything besides the scripts can be changed. If there is something you may want changed and don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, I will do my best to help out and make it your own personal home.
