Incidentally, none of the included flowers are thistles. The thistle is the national emblem of Scotland. Legend has it that an invading Norse army attempted to sneak up on a Scottish army encampment, but a barefoot Norseman stepped on a thistle and cried out in pain. Not the best flower for a lovely cottage!
