Instructions
How to get a WEBHOOK on your DISCORD SERVER
Before anything, in your server please create a channel or use an existing channel for your Chat Relay to sit in.
1 - First, in your Discord server, create a new CHAT channel for your relazy.
2 - Log in to Discord and navigate to the server where you want to create the webhook.
3 - Click the server name at the top-left corner of the screen to open the server menu.
4 - Click on Integrations in the left sidebar.
5 - Click Webhooks
6 - Click New Webhooks
7 - Name the "Bot" and choose the "Channel" you have created for the Relay to respond in
8 - Copy Webhook URL via the WEBHOOK URL button
9 - Save
10 - Teast in Local

1. Consent Is Mandatory
You must obtain explicit consent from all participants before sharing their chat with Discord or any external platform.
Do not relay private IMs or group chat unless all parties agree.
For public local chat, it's best to post a visible notice (e.g., floating text or hover tip) that chat may be relayed externally.
2. No Surveillance or Remote Monitoring
Scripts that monitor users without their knowledge or consent are prohibited.
Avoid silent logging or relaying of chat from avatars who haven’t interacted with the object.
Never use chat relays to track or profile users.
3. Respect Privacy and Disclosure Rules
Sharing personal information without consent is strictly forbidden.
Do not relay usernames, UUIDs, or profile data unless the user has opted in.
Avoid linking chat to real-world identities or external accounts.
4. Avoid Harassment or Targeting
Scripts must not be used to intimidate, annoy, or target users.
Don’t use chat relays to shame, mock, or expose users.
Avoid relaying chat from avatars who are not part of your RP group or community.
5. Keep Content Appropriate
All relayed content must comply with SL’s Content Guidelines.
If your relay includes adult or mature content, it must only operate in appropriately rated regions.
Avoid relaying chat that violates SL’s rules on hate speech, harassment, or inappropriate behavior.
6. Use Secure Webhooks
If connecting to Discord, use secure, user-configured webhooks.
Never hard-code someone else’s webhook into a public object.
Let users configure their own webhook via notecard or menu, and keep the script no-mod to protect your code.
7. Transparency for RP Use
If used in RP, make sure the relay is part of the narrative and not deceptive.
Let players know when their chat is being relayed.
Use hover text, object descriptions, or RP announcements to clarify.
