PACKAGING NOTE: This arena its Forest HUNTING animals (Deer/Elk, Boar, Bat, Boar, Grey-Wolf, Bear) are a companion package/product to the COMBAT animals (Lion, Lioness, Tiger, Brown-Wolf2, Raptor, Rhino) (see related items at the end of this page). If you own one package, I.M. "Restless Swords" for a half-price 1500L offer on the other package.
These animals can also be used outside the arena, as PEACEFUL roaming animals or as totally independent HUNTABLE animals (othewise sold independently at $750L each without any arena or scoreboard system).
This hunting arena provides a variety of animals at different sizes and different speeds. You shoot the 'START' controller to start a round and the animals run. As you shoot one, any hit limb turns red until the animal has enough hits that it dies (falls over and turns dark).
Be sure your sound is turned on. The animals make noise when attacking, and more noise when shot/wounded.
But beware, the animals will also agressively attack anytime you get close, and will do SpellFire/Omega/GM damage to hunters (but NOT its SF owner). So wear your SpellFire or Omega or GM meter and give the animals a fighting chance (if you die first, you lose). You need to quickly chose what animals to shoot at as they move around, but also be aware and move out of the range of any attacking animal.
Although simple to use, all the rapid activity forces you to quickly develop good eye-hand aiming and shooting skills, and the fast moving targets force you to develop good skill at "leading" a moving target to score well.
Because the animals uses physical collisions, they can be used with almost any weapon that fires a physical object (arrow, bullet, etc). Therefore it works with SpellFire Bows, DCS Bows, GM Bows, and others (as well as most Guns) as well as with SpellFire+GM swords (although bows are easier than swords).
If you do not have a bow, or your friends do not, it includes a dispenser for a very simple free bow (no sheath, no Draw/Store commands, just wear and mouselook shoot). If several people are shooting, you can all use this same bow for fair and even competition. If you dont want to use it, just delete the dispenser. Most people interested in this range will already have one (or several) sophisticated bows - and all your different bows will each give you a very different experience due to reload/reshoot times, arrow drop aiming, etc.
You can see various animals in-world at: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Exotic%20Forest/181/181/1501.
Please come and play with the animals, it saves having to feed them.
NOTE re SIM-WIDE ANIMAL HUNTS: You do not need to keep or hunt the animals in their arena. You can spread them throughout a SIM and run a sim-wide animal hunt. To see an example, visit the Dynamic Archery Animal HUNT at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Exotic%20Forest/182/125/1502

Best in SL
The Creator provides excellent customer Service. The product is well made and best of all well scripted. Will provide years of fun. Can't thank Restless enough for his time, patience, and creativity. 5 stars.
AMAZING ! AWESOME TRAINING AND FUN !
If there were more than five stars I would easily rate it as HIGH as possible. First, it creates within your group friendly competition, keeps score, and has changing difficulty levels. ALL sims with compatible combat systems should have this, it doesn't take alot of space and is a wicked training exercise, as an honorably discharged veteran, IF it were possible to compare a pixel to real life, I would grade this as high military level ( special forces, recon marines etc) training and well worth it. It isn't so hard that you give up, it does have beginner levels, but it makes you work and when you succeed, you feel like you really have accomplished something. You feel more confident in your skills. I can't believe I ever practiced without it.
