The Column View Home is a modern and automated home.
Serviced by a security elevator and controlled by automated system panels. Features a large deck on the 2nd floor and a dual flight deck on the roof. This home will fit on a 512m lot.

Automated Home System
----------------------------

While the system may appear complicated, a built in help system is available at every terminal.
All interior panels are considered masters. Click the panel. Note that the panel changes to
program mode and it will stay in program mode for 30 seconds. It must be in program mode to
accept commands. Don't be afraid to click it to keep it in program mode if you need more time.

Click the panel, the following menu appears;

System Master: Awaiting Commands or say: help

Click the panel and say: help
The following menu appears:

System Master: System must be in program mode to accept commands.
System Master: For windows say: help windows
System Master: For doors say: help doors
System Master: For system say: help system

This menu directs you to three help menus and reminds you that the panel must be
in program mode to accept commands.

Window Menu
---------------

Click the panel and say: help windows
The following menu appears:

System Master: System must be in program mode to accept commands.
System Master: Say: clear, tint, or private to change this room's windows
System Master: Say: clear all, tint all, or private all to change all windows

This menu tells you all you need say is clear, tint, or private to change the window
settings for the area that you are in. Saying clear all, tint all, and private all changes
the windows for the entire home.

Door Menu
------------

Click the panel and say: help doors
The following menu appears:

System Master: System must be in program mode to accept commands.
System Master: To lock exterior doors say: lock
System Master: To unlock exterior doors say: unlock
System Master: To lock interior and exterior doors say: lock all
System Master: To unlock interior and exterior doors say: unlock all
System Master: To place front doors on auto say; auto
System Master: To place all exterior doors on auto say; auto all
System Master: To turn off auto say; auto off

Saying lock or unlock effects all the exterior doors with the one command.
Saying lock all or unlock all effects all the enterior doors and also the interior doors.
Auto mode sets the exterior doors in auto-slider mode so they will open automatically.
Saying auto places the front door in auto mode, auto all places the deck doors also
in auto mode. Saying auto off shuts off auto on all doors.

System Menu
---------------

Click the panel and say: help system
The following menu appears:

System Master: System must be in program mode to accept commands.
System Master: To add a user to the system say: add <user's name>
System Master: To remove a user say: remove <user's name>
System Master: User's names must be exact and case sensitive
System Master: To view user list say: list
System Master: Panic mode is activated by saying: panic
System Master: To clear panic say: system start
System Master: Unlock system panels by saying: system unlock
System Master: Return to users only by saying: system lock
System Master: For status say: system status

To add or remove users, you must type their nema exactly as you see it in chat.
I always suggest a cut and past of names as sometimes that are not quite as they
seem written. Also you can type it out and then click the panel and hit enter to
say it.

Example;

add Loniki Loudon
remove Loniki Loudon

Panic is a house lockdown. It locks all exterior doors and places all windows in private.
Doing a system start is one way to clear a panic as it will place all the windows
in clear and unlock all the exterior doors.

(Note: In homes with elevators, a panic despawns the elevator car, a system start
respawns and resets the car.)

System panels can be unlocked so others who are not added to the system may use
them. This is fine for demo purposes but I suggest leaving panels locked. The red indicator
is lit when the system panels are unlocked, otherwise a green indicator tells you the
system is secure.

System status will report door status, users in the system, and available memory.

This concludes operation of the system panels.

Come see it at the lot.

Be it a home, condos, a store, mall, hotel, or skypod, come on down to our main lot on
Cote de Ivoire and take a walk through.
Best Regards,
Loniki Loudon

A Year later

I like this design for the modern limited space use. I have some classic and contemporary homes but sometimes endeavor outside the box like this. However I have had to redo my rating from a year ago. My rating redone from a four (1st request went out and no response) to a three for no copy and no response into my request to check on their build (1st request a year ago). IM's and note cards both have not been responded to. I understand things gets busy in RL and SL but sometimes after a while you need to respond to customers. I am one to wait and see, check and verify but after that I am one who grades and critiques when all other avenues have been made. Respectively to the builder if you respond I will be happy to redo the review.

incredible value for prims
full star full star full star full star full star Posted September 07, 2012 by angelpatty

In today's SL, prims cost more than lindens. Don't believe me? Try decorating a Linden Home on what Governor Linden leaves you of the 117 prims you're supposed to have. If you economize on lindens, you fill the place up before you're done with the living room. Doing an entire Linden Home - decorating the entire living space - costs lindens if you stick with low-prim objects (which cost more because it takes talent to make a decent-looking low-prim object - you usually have to learn how to sculpt, for one thing).

So Loniki's Column View Home is very nice because it comes in at 45 prims and yet for that small primmage you get a lot of living space and a relatively tiny footprint on your land. It reminds me of the home in Robert Heinlein's "And He Built a Crooked House," which is a compliment. I have two of them on my tiny island parcel and still have most of the actual land under and around the houses available for other things - and no lag!

It really is that "home of the future" a lot of us grew up expecting. I LOVE IT!
