A holo-emitter for SL.
It’s similar to the holodecks you see in Star Trek - you click it, a menu comes up, you select a scene and poof! The scene appears in all its 3D glory.
I call it a “Holo-Emitter System.” I prefer that name because “holodeck” imples a room, whereas this system can fill an entire sim (unlike some other holodecks in SL, which are limited to a small region near the control center). It’s also different from a “holo-vendor” in that each scene can be made up of multiple unlinked objects. Lastly, if you move the holo-emitter 4 meters north (or whatever) and rez a scene, then the scene will also be moved 4 meters north: the scene’s position is relative to the holo-emitter.

Did I really get this for free?
As a builder I have always dreamt of building my own holodeck and scenes to go with them, this enables you to do just that, the instructions were clear to follow and the end result was stunning, add the fact that the creator is giving it away free? CRAZY! Thank you for expanding my building career
I suggest you see a shrink
There is something seriously wrong with this person. He could be charging thousands of L$ for this even if it were not full permission (which many others are who I suspect used this as a starting point). You're sick! I'm kidding, it's really very generous and it does work great. I was very skeptical at first, since in my experience freebies are generally worth what you pay for them or less, but it really works and works well. Great job.
Limited but nice for a freebie
Be aware it only holds 12 scenes. It isn't hard to use though if that limitation isn't an issue. If only someone would build off of this and put in a next button. Then make it possible to organize things into mini-menu folders, maybe by using naming conventions, or descriptions. Npose does it by putting together everything with a certain name into a particular category and the list can be even further broken down from there. Combining the two open source scripting systems would be my dream. If only I had the knowledge.
Works a treat
How generous is this? It works exactly as advertised. The online instructions are very easy to follow and I had it rezzing my first scene in minutes. The way it is set up makes it a doddle to make alterations, far easier than other rezzers I've tried. Plus, it's free, and open source so you can adapt it to your needs. Honestly, to give it any less than five stars would be utterly churlish.
Im sure its very nice
But a teeny bit more is needed. Namely, directions included IN the notecard for how to make those 4 mysterious scripts into a holo-rezzer, and how to add our own scenes to it so we can use it. As it is, unless one already knows how to build and orient scenes and add them into a magic-rezz object, its just a set of 4 scripts and a useless link from a notecard.
