The HostAssist PRO has all the features of the HostAssist, with the following added features:
New for 3.1 -- DISPLAY NAME support! Use Display Names for New Arrival Notification and Automatic Greetings!
NEW ARRIVAL NOTIFICATION

1) The memory available to store the list of new arrivals is MUCH greater, so stack collisions should be much less likely to occur. I suspect
there is room for over 200 names on the list, but this is not easy to test.
2) Teleporting will cause the scanning to stop and the scan list to be cleared.
AUTOMATIC GREETING
-------------------------
1) If you have saved a nickname for a person (see NICKNAMES, below), their nickname will be used in the greeting. So instead of greeting with
"Hi Rejeanne!", it would use "Hi Rej!"
CUSTOM GREETINGS ***NEW FOR PRO VERSION ***

It is now possible to set your own text for the auto-greetings! You can create many different sets of greeting buttons for the auto-greet dialog box, and switch between them whenever you like.
NICKNAMES *** NEW FOR PRO VERSION ***

Greetings sometimes seem artificial when you greet a friend or regular visitor by their full name (like "Rejeanne"), instead of the nickname they use.
(like "Rej"). The HostAssist PRO lets you store nicknames! For example, you could auto-greet me with "Hiya Rej darling!" (or something similar) when I arrived at your event.
BLURBS *** NEW FOR PRO VERSION ***

THe HostAssist now allows you to store frequently-used announcements as "blurbs", and repeat them as often as you like.
For example, you could store a blurb called 'enter', that said " DON'T FORGET TO ENTER THE CONTESTS! TOUCH THE 'BEST MALE' OR 'BEST FEMALE' CONTEST BOARD TO ENTER!"
Then, the command:
/11 say enter
Would say the following text in open chat:
DON'T FORGET TO ENTER THE CONTESTS! TOUCH THE 'BEST MALE' OR 'BEST FEMALE' CONTEST BOARD TO ENTER!
You can embed /me or /ME in the blurb to insert your name, so:
/11 blurb add startvote /me calls: TIME TO START THE VOTE
/11 blurb add sendvote GET THOSE VOTES TO /ME NOW!
would display as:
Rejeanne calls: TIME TO START THE VOTE
GET THOSE VOTES TO REJEANNE NOW!
Using /ME instead of /me will display your first name in upper case, so
/13 GET YOUR VOTES TO /ME!
will display as:
GET YOUR VOTES TO REJEANNE!

I hate seeing usernames when talking. There should be a Display Name option to announce as.
Not very easy to use
I can't say that I'm happy with this gadget because you still have to remember chat commands instead of using a HUD. The blurbs that I've entered in lowercase aren't showing up, which is what I bought this specifically for. If the blurbs have to be all uppercase (shouting) only, I'd suggest that be changed because hostess shouting isn't the best technique in my opinion. If you're looking for something you can wear as a HUD and simply edit a notecard, then fire the commands by clicking a button on the HUD, this is not for you.
