Door script Version 3.0.3 (July 2025)

This product is the RP DOOR script, for your residential house or group sim (Copy / No trans). Use the sample doors or add the scripts in your existing doors (mesh or prim). Easy to configure in few menu clicks. Connectable to our optional multi-groups Server or CasperLet plugin* (to buy separately).

Note: an add-on to make this door BREAKABLE by projectile is avaialble at my main shop (Sept 2021)*.

This Door box will also auto-upgrade in one click your "Kool Door ready" mod buildings bought from creators using the Builder version.

• Door script is easily configurable by intuitive menu: no configuration error is possible. You see immediately how the door moves at each menu click. No notecard needed, apart for optional access list of names.
• The same door script works in standalone or connected to a Server. You can buy Doors first, then later buy the Server when the need arises.
• Modifiable demos included: lever, double-doors, draw-bridges...

▶ DOOR (in this box, without Server)

For a private house or a small fort, you can use the doors in standalone mode, without Server. Each door access is independent.

Movement
- Door rotates, slides, or moves like a curtain in any X Y Z axis direction. Works in prims, meshes, sculpts. No need of cut prims.
- Free pivot position, ideal for garage door, drawbridges, asymmetric meshes, etc.
- Selectable speeds from fast to very slow.
- Door can be linked or not to other prims, movement is always the same.
- The door movement is automatically adapted to the prim size and proportions. The scripts will fit in your existing doors, even sculpties, meshes. The prim needs NOT to be cut. The script calculates a side pivot, something most other scripts don't do.
- Door opens automatically when walking through, no need to click (menu option). Horizontal trap door can be set to auto-open only from under, not from floor side.
- Door auto-closes manually, after a set time, or when avatar leaves range.
- Double-door option for synchro opening.

Access (without server)
- By menu access is set to owner, everyone, and/or 1 SL group.
- By editing the notecard inside you can add a list of allowed names.

Lockpick
- Optional lockpick menu for strangers.
- The lockpicking will abort if the lockpicker steps away from the door or is downed (GM meter).
- Door is repairable after the same time it took to lockpick it. Ex: if it took 2 minutes to lockpick the door, the door is repairable after 2 minutes.

Lever
- You can command the door with the optional lever (included). Ideal for draw bridge, secret door...
- When set to a lever, only the lever can action the door, and anyone can use the lever from a short distance.
- The lever can have an auto-close time.

Sounds and textures
- By menu you can choose different sound sets for open and close. Or add your own sounds.
- Sounds audio level is adjustable.
- A choice of textures is included, set in one click with a special Texture Selector. 180 textures in standalone edition , 540 in Server edition (textures are not included as maps, they apply by script).
- You can of course put your own textures on the door.

Chat options
- You can set the door to be more or less chatty. Most messages like "X opens the door" are whispered (10 m range instead of 20m) and can be disabled by menu.
- Knock can be set to: none, 20 m, 100 m.

When adding the Server to control your RP doors, you have a centralized access configuration, multi-groups access, admins list who can help you to set the doors, steal key, tempo key, tempo ban, list/repair all lockpicked doors, no-autoreturn, and 540 textures instead of 180.

▶ DOOR + CASPERLET (plugin and rental system to buy separately)

"Kool Server for CasperLet" is a plugin to allow your CasperLet rental houses to use seamlessly these RP Doors. Your renters will automatically be granted access, and they can manage their own access list, leaving you and your managers free of this task.
