Le Petit Trianon Attic Rooms -C&G-

Details

A second staircase, smaller in size, but with an equally elegant wrought iron railing, leads to the top floor, the attic of the Trianon Palace, reserved for guests,

This floor is composed of 5 complete bedrooms (each with its own attached cabinet and all decorated with paneled walls, mirrors, and marble fireplaces).
among the five apartments, the one that was designed for Louis XV during his visits to the small palace stands out, this apartment is composed of an antechamber, a large bedroom with walls covered in crimson silks with chinoiserie motifs, gilded bronze mirrors, and a griotte marble fireplace. the ensemble is completed by a corner study/bathroom that connects with the bedroom next door so that it can be comfortably enlarged.

Everything has been faithfully reproduced (from the wallpapers and silks to the terracotta floors in the corridors) to represent the characteristic style of this level, where intimacy and coziness prevail over the refined luxury of the rooms on the main floor.

As on the main floor, the windows are equipped with shutters, which can be opened, letting in (activating) the ambient light from outside.

The attic give us more bedrooms

It did not follows the original floor plan entirely. But most of the great rooms, like the king's bed chamber and the ladies rooms are reproduced closely here.
The original floor plan has some small partitions. I'm glad the builder did not recreate them but rather turn them into a few larger rooms. It's easier to furnish larger rooms.
However, I found some flaws on the wall panels of the King's bedchamber. I hope the creator can rectify this.
