2nd sailboat from Motor Loon's workshop and this one using Mesh for greater detail than you can possibly get with sculpted prims.
With focus on visual details, handling and lowimpact scripting MLCC is proud to present the LOONETTA.
This fully working boat is packed with detail work, and there's no standard building parts used - everything is custom made. You'll find it easy to sail, using the simple Bwind-like system - you can focus on adjusting the mainsail to the wind and everything else is just about enjoying the ride.
A unique pose system was written for this boat, it allows you to remain sitting while sailing - but still be able to change to any pose of the ship. This goes for every passenger it carries, and we've sailed it with 17 passengers at once. The benefit of the system is of course that you often find yourself sailing in water where you don't have rez rights and autoreturn is active - so standing up while underway would have caused your boat to be returned to you.
Boat is no-mod, but - comes with a retexturing system so you can apply your own personal look. Any prim of the boat can be retextured, and it even comes with 7 different "looks" built-in from the factory.
See more about this at https://www.youtube.com/motorloon
Other cool details are e.g. the working folding-screw, working animated anchor, deployable fenders for docking and a WALK-IN cabin, fully loaded with furniture and even a bathroom. No extra rezzing is needed, no attachments needed to be worn, no HUD's needed for sailing. Everything is ready to go as you rez the 32prim boat!
Note that when all sails are up (because of how mesh impact is calculated) the landimpact goes up slightly (to around 38 landimpact).
Loonetta also comes with a deployable sprayhood and ... partylights hanging from the mast and railing.

I'M ON A BOAT
Very impressive detail, one of the coolest things I've seen in SL in a long time!
Ultimate Second Life Dream Boat!
What else can I say, I can't praise the maker enough for this thing of beauty, and amazing ability. The features, the built in poses, the high quality detail, everything is picture perfect! Handles perfect too, so Brilliant! Best boat to take a loved one out on the sl ocean for a date on the sea, or adventures. 5 Stars on here is the limit.. But I'd honestly rate it 100 stars if possible lol Love it!
A very happy Customer,
& fan! ~DEV.
Best one on sl.
I can only say that this is The Best Boat on sl. Sim crossing with this boat is like there is no sim crossing at all. Superb! Thanks
An excellent cruiser!
The Loonetta is a superb piece of work. She looks very good inside and out, with all sorts of beautiful details right down to realistic looking screw heads in the cabin. She sails well, and the auxiliary diesel engine allows for realistic docking in a slip, or motoring through some gnarly tight spots when passage-making. There are so many realistic little details included: the propeller, the fenders, the multi-part mainsheet, the anchoring animation. The scripted customisation system works well, and the creator has produced excellent YouTube videos to explain the process. Honestly, I would give this yacht six stars if the review system allowed it.
Nothing short of amazing.
I've been casually sailing SL waters with a Bwind engine sailboat for years. When i stumbled across this boat, I must say my jaw came off its hinges a bit. For a boat this detailed and this feature-packed to only run 30 prims on the water is just staggering. The ease of use and sailing controls are just flawless. Though, I'm not sure if SLwind is broken... but every sim I'm in the wind direction is east. Either way, this boat has become my favorite mode of transportation!
Now part of my home
I didn't know what to expect when buying this boat, as this is my first one in Second Life. I couldn't be more pleasantly surprised! I love everything about this boat: The size, the animations, the textures. And it handles perfectly, never had any problem with it so far. Surely put a lot of effort into this boat, I can tell. It now has its own personal dock at my parcel.
