2nd sailboat from Motor Loon's workshop and this one using Mesh for greater detail than you can possibly get with sculpted prims.
With focus on visual details, handling and lowimpact scripting MLCC is proud to present the LOONETTA.
This fully working boat is packed with detail work, and there's no standard building parts used - everything is custom made. You'll find it easy to sail, using the simple Bwind-like system - you can focus on adjusting the mainsail to the wind and everything else is just about enjoying the ride.
A unique pose system was written for this boat, it allows you to remain sitting while sailing - but still be able to change to any pose of the ship. This goes for every passenger it carries, and we've sailed it with 17 passengers at once. The benefit of the system is of course that you often find yourself sailing in water where you don't have rez rights and autoreturn is active - so standing up while underway would have caused your boat to be returned to you.
Boat is no-mod, but - comes with a retexturing system so you can apply your own personal look. Any prim of the boat can be retextured, and it even comes with 7 different "looks" built-in from the factory.
See more about this at https://www.youtube.com/motorloon
Other cool details are e.g. the working folding-screw, working animated anchor, deployable fenders for docking and a WALK-IN cabin, fully loaded with furniture and even a bathroom. No extra rezzing is needed, no attachments needed to be worn, no HUD's needed for sailing. Everything is ready to go as you rez the 32prim boat!
Note that when all sails are up (because of how mesh impact is calculated) the landimpact goes up slightly (to around 38 landimpact).
Loonetta also comes with a deployable sprayhood and ... partylights hanging from the mast and railing.

Amazing !!!
My dream boat !!! Love every inch of it, the animations the textures, all the extras. Can't get enough of this dream boat . Thank you for all your hard work !! Can't imagine anyone not loving this sailboat. ++++++ :-)))
Beautifully crafted and fun
My friend and I spent an hour going "wow" and "look at this" when we took it out for a maiden voyage. Excellent quality, attention to detail and great fun as well as being to carry a boatload of passengers. Recommended!
Class!
Looking at the reviews, I bought this and am abso delighted - she's a beaut.
The only thing she's missing is a stern ladder for easy reboarding after taking a swim!
Thanks, Motor Loon!!
Improved on the Oceanis? I didn't think it could be done...
.. but it sure has! This little sailboat kicks ass (and makes even me look like a pro!)
Only question I have is... Will the Oceanis be updated with some of these features? Cause I love the animations and the 'no HUD' feature! I did see someone else posting about an "Explorer's HUD".. so I looked it up.. that does look like a very handy tool.. I will probably get that as well, but could that be added as a feature? Dang! Improvements again? LOL
If I didn't already have my dream bike, I would of probably bought one from his builder.. HE ROCKS!
All kinds of cool . . .
No matter which sea area I go to I always notice a few Loonetta's. I figured it was finally time for me to get one as well. There's nothing not to like about this vessel. Hell, it even comes with a stand to display the boat out of water! It has plenty of great poses, as well as lots of little goodies to add to the sailing feel and ambience. Oh, yeah, it also sails the seas very well. It comes loaded with different paint schemes to choose from, and you can even change the shininess. Plus, you can also add your own custom textures. As the name suggests it's only 31 prims / land impact, and it's all mesh except for the rear flag.
Bottom line, if you're into sailing or would like to start, this is a boat you should definitely consider. There's a reason why you see these all over the Second Life seas! Actually, there's lots of reasons.
Love!!!
Amazing mesh detail for such a low LI. I bought it here without checking it out in world and I was blown away when I saw that it actually looks much better than on the pic, which never happened to me before. Worth every penny. Please make some more, I need to fill my dock ;-)
