2nd sailboat from Motor Loon's workshop and this one using Mesh for greater detail than you can possibly get with sculpted prims.
With focus on visual details, handling and lowimpact scripting MLCC is proud to present the LOONETTA.
This fully working boat is packed with detail work, and there's no standard building parts used - everything is custom made. You'll find it easy to sail, using the simple Bwind-like system - you can focus on adjusting the mainsail to the wind and everything else is just about enjoying the ride.
A unique pose system was written for this boat, it allows you to remain sitting while sailing - but still be able to change to any pose of the ship. This goes for every passenger it carries, and we've sailed it with 17 passengers at once. The benefit of the system is of course that you often find yourself sailing in water where you don't have rez rights and autoreturn is active - so standing up while underway would have caused your boat to be returned to you.
Boat is no-mod, but - comes with a retexturing system so you can apply your own personal look. Any prim of the boat can be retextured, and it even comes with 7 different "looks" built-in from the factory.
See more about this at https://www.youtube.com/motorloon
Other cool details are e.g. the working folding-screw, working animated anchor, deployable fenders for docking and a WALK-IN cabin, fully loaded with furniture and even a bathroom. No extra rezzing is needed, no attachments needed to be worn, no HUD's needed for sailing. Everything is ready to go as you rez the 32prim boat!
Note that when all sails are up (because of how mesh impact is calculated) the landimpact goes up slightly (to around 38 landimpact).
Loonetta also comes with a deployable sprayhood and ... partylights hanging from the mast and railing.

WOW!
My girlfriend and I bought this as a bit of fun. Our first day on it and we were blown away by the detail. Every nook and cranny had something special and unexpected in it to see. Even a bottle of Malibu in the bedroom area. Lol. I love Malibu! I love this boat. The best I have ever seen.
Awesome
I got given this boat as a gift from my guy i am a first time sailer and this boat is awesome easy to work and texture. I cant get enough of sailing now i am in it everyday.
Would give more stars if i could it deserves well over 100 :)
Ultimately Amazing!!!
This boat is the ish! I love the sounds and the use of Linden Winds. The poses are amazing, not to mention the awesome textures! This was a perfect purchase all around and I could not be more pleased. Sailing now as I write this... :-) Ahoy matey!
Absolute Ultimate Fun
I must say, its a wonderfull boat. I really got hooked to sailing in SL. All animations work perfect once you get the hang of it. The menu is simple and clear and very handy to use. We have been sailing now with 8 avi's without problems. It might be handy to say that any AO's should be turned off during sailing..it all works a little better. All the textures are great, and the options as lights, and xtra anims make it sooo fantastic and worth every Linden i spent to it !!!! Even details as scanner and navigation, a usefull kitchen and a very nice bedroom are fantastic ! ,many many complements and thanx for building this for SL. Great Job !! absolute a 5 + star product ! (a hint.. for an update maybe ... some erotic anims for bed and boat would be nice ;)
A classic sailboat.
Let me start off by saying, i don't write reviews often, I am for this one because the reviews here were all people gushing, and no concrete information. So, to me, when you click five stars i feel like you're either a friend just giving a review or were paid off, so neither look good, BECAUSE if you say "BEST THING EVER!" or "ONLY THING I USE!", can you see how that looks? ALSO, saying five stars "to most" looks like "Its a perfect product" now, if that where true, would there be updates? LASTLY, this is NOT a cheap item, so i am making a review for others and now that my outlook is known, (and it probably is not just mine) let the review begin.
Well, where to start, The ship itself is very nice to sail. The movement matches the speed and the ship tilts when against the wind. So the sailing itself is rather flawless, the added particles of splashing (going faster than 5 knots) adds to realism, along with the sound, which in my opinion are perfect. Now, the texturing is amazing, Motor gives you the actual textures, "smart" creators do that cause who doesn't like personalized textures? The one thing i can say that I simply love, is the fact that you can remain sitting and move to ANY place on the boat, which is perfect for the Blake Seas, with instant auto-return. Why four stars? Heres the linchpin, you can't resize the boat, I am a small AV, i can fit most of the poses but not all. So that is my only complaint (which isn't a big deal), but my one MAJOR complaint would be the price. I only have this to say about that: Is it worth 3.5K$L? Yes. Would i pay that much? Yes. So being worth that much, I made a leap of faith, and won. 1 out of 100 isn't bad, but hopefully this review will be more concrete. Last comment, (i promise) If you have saved up for this boat, go for it, if you just want to buy something go for it, for me it is top dog of sailboats...(as always)...FOR NOW.
I am happy with my boat, and it's always a good day to sail. [ http://puu.sh/3T7Ws.jpg ]
Magnificent job
It is an incredible boat. is handled very smoothly and superbly by grating reality. The sim crossings are no problem.
The design details are magnificent and very real.
Only made a minor detail. not being able refuel the engine. This already would be amazing.
But in short is a magnificent work. worth the price you have.
congratulations Motor Loon
