This Starry Night star system is a huge off-sim item that spans 1.6 km. You can use it on island regions (single till 2x2) as an enhancement of the sunset, night and sunrise sky.
A remote control allows you to change all kinds of setttings: rotation speed, brightness, glow, moon phase, position on Earth (lattitude), time zone etc. Moon can change phase automatically (one full cycle per week).
Consist of seven parts: stars, meteors (shooting stars), constellations, planets, satellites, the moon and the complete Milky Way.
It can be used in the sky and at ground level. It's a revolving sphere, so please beware part of it will be visible under your build as well.

I have had several of Som's products through the years, none have disappointed me. I build sets for shows and use the mirror box, I have had the Starry Night for years....I couldn't find it in my inventory and asked Som if he had a redelivery...he did not but he sent me another copy of the product.....Thank you soooo much Som
the sensation of depth brings the stars to life
It is a truly captivating and breathtaking representation of the night sky. A little side note: if you're up in the sky and you have a 360 view, you might see 2 moons. But that can be fixed if you turn off the moon in the menu and rez the "Off-sim Moon and Planet System LARGE [1.1]" (it's one of the best things I've seen on the grid, unfortunately I can't leave a review for it as it has been sent by the creator, after the 2 moons issue).

A good alternative to the standard sky
An easy set up with lots of different options to the starry background, Milky Way, Moon, meteors, latitude and others. I did notice with the show constellation option that it does not display all of them on the night sky - possibly could be considered in an update? Also, if use in a sim where you do not have all rights, there can be two moons as the standard one shows through. Highly recommended for those wanting big change from their standard sky or for deep space RP where stars will be in all directions (looking above and below).
