Fully configurable with it's extensive menu, this new animated Baby Free Swim Wild Orca either follows a separately purchased adult Orca or free swim explores on its own doing Orca splashes and swims and dives underwater.

Baby Orca includes water splashes with synchronized sounds and seven random Orca calls that create endlessly varying real Orca sounds. Beautifully sculpted and textured, these 3D Baby Orcas have animated moving tails and flippers that move with their different splashes and swims for amazing realism! You won't believe the attention to detail and realism that has been put into the creation of these settable male/female baby Orcas.

This baby Orca will either follow an adult wild Orca, swimming and playing with it or randomly swim around a rectangular area set for it, checking the boundaries, making various tail splashes and swimming both at the surface and underwater, complete with relevant tail slaps, splashes, water effects and sounds. They are so fascinating to watch! This baby Orca has been created to mimic RL baby Orcas in the wild with the tricks they do naturally. However, unlike RL it will stay mainly near the surface in SL so it can be seen and enjoyed.

The marking behind the dorsal fin is called a saddle patch. In RL, these are unique to each baby Orca, like a human finger print. It is impractical in SL to create unique skin markings for every baby Orca, however you have the option of choosing any of three different skins where the saddle patch varies from the skins menu. You can also select to have this baby Orca automatically have the same skin as it's adult orca parent, just like parents and baby in RL! If following an adult, the default setting is to automatically use the same skin as their parent.

Male baby Orcas have a big dorsal fin and females have smaller ones. You have the option to set the gender of the baby Orca to male or female. The gender is set randomly when rezzed or reset and can easily be changed.

Setting up your new baby Orca is quick and easy for a basic setup, but includes many options to customize it to exactly the settings you want for your baby Orca. Just rez your baby Orca clear of obstructions, just above the water in your ocean or pool. If the Orca is placed into the Linden ocean, move it to the centre of the area where you want it to swim, touch for a menu of options and click on either START to start it free swimming with the default settings or press FIND Parent to find and follow a nearby adult Orca. When first touched, it will automatically detect the Linden ocean level and set an area of 12m x 12m to swim within if free swimming or will automatically adopt the parent Orca limits if following a parent Orca. If it's not in the linden ocean or you wish to set a different swim area, you can set a water level and a custom rectangular swim area from the Set Up menu. Perfect for either the Linden ocean or skybox pools or any non-Linden ocean setting.

A minimum area of 12m x 12m is required, with a recommended depth of 2m. This is the default area when you rez it, but you may increase this to suit your situation if free swimming.

You can rename your baby Orca to any name you wish and optionally show its name in float text above the baby Orca from the Name menu.

You can also set the Set the frequency of Orca calls from the Sounds menu to adjust how often the Orca calls occur. It can be set to high, mid, low or off, Default is Mid.

We also include an "Orca Finder" prim to find your baby Orcas if you cannot see them. Wear or rez this prim and touch it to receive a SLurl for the location of your baby Orca if it is in a script enabled parcel.
