Painted Clouds

These cloud texture files were sampled from the real life brush strokes of French impressionist painters from 19th century Paris. The texture files are seamless and carefully scaled to provide a quality backdrop sky. Custom designed sky files have been created to best display the painted cloud graphics.

How to Modify These Sky Files:
Feel free to modify these sky files any way you like to achieve the colors you desire. The cloud textures themselves are monochrome, all the color comes from the various settings.

Once again, make sure you have a backup of the file until you get used to the difference between the save and save-as commands, to avoid overwriting. Double click on one of these sky files to open the Fixed Environment editor and adjust any of the settings to your desired taste. I recommend you do not change the Cloud Scale, Cloud Coverage, or Cloud Density settings too much as these will drastically alter the appearance in undesirable ways. You may change Cloud Color, Cloud Scroll speed, play with Sun & Moon, and Atmosphere & Lighting settings - especially the colors. The included SunGlow replacement sun graphic can be added to any of the Sky files by clicking in the Sun Image box and locating the file in your inventory.

The included sky files are designed to be used with the new EEP replacement for Windlight. The current version of Firestorm viewer has EEP implemented.
