is high detailed drivable russian submarine Kilo class
I know the "real Red October" was a submarine of the Typhoon class, but this is too big for SL to build in a nearly exactly scale, that's why I decided to build a Kilo class submarine and I think it looks good as well:)
it is drivable from conning tower and inside as well !!
The submarine comes with two types of torpedoes, one for targets on water surface and one for targets underwater
It is also armed with a ship to ship missle
the missle get fired by torpedo tube and will fly 3m above water surface
The sub can also drop sea mines by torpedo tube
sea mines will stay for one hour and then delete themself
The submarine is scripted ICS Combat System
The submarine can rezz a dinghy and in case you get sunk the sub will rezz a life raft for you:)
The submarine comes with a HUD for periscope look
also included binoculars giver with pose and life jacket giver
many poses for crew members inside and on conning tower

Sup of subs
This was a blind purchase by me, because there is no showroom ingame. But fortunately didn't regret, its a really good and nice detailed sub. The only cons that is not modifiable, so I can't remove that hated red star from the tower (the russian red star is a forbidden symbol of autocracy in my country).
Nice Russian sub
This is a update of my previous review as further research seems to indicate the excessive bugs I experienced where prompted by the sim I was on and not seen a reoccurrence of them on other sims thus far. In short an extreme level of scripts errors where generated anytime a pose was changed and none of the poses like sit in a chair worked. Traveling on other sims I have not seen any of those problems. I wish I could find an easy way to identify the server/sim software version in place I am on each sim so we can see what software version these bugs are tied to.
All that said this is a nicely detailed submarine of that in the book The Hunt for Red October and the film by same name. There are some differences as mentioned in the notes, the submarine in the book/movie was a modified Typhoon class submarine (at the time it was first released was and might still be the largest submarine ever built) and is nuclear powered with 20 ballistic missiles. The submarine we have here in SL is said to be a Kilo-class diesel-electric submarine without the four launchers for Kalibr cruise missiles the Kilo-class has in RL.
The submarine is not that big and easy to use though intended for people well over my six feet with the poses posing me approx one foot of the ground and I am still not tall enough to use the fixed height periscope and many things are out of reach. Nonetheless a lot of details are seen in the sub and easy enough to operate. If the owner intendeds to explore the seas make sure to right click the sub and pick Board so you can pilot the sub and make it move. As a side note, the Kilo-class looks like it might be making a comeback in RL.
Very happy with my Purchase
I wanted to see this item before I made my purchase and I went to the creators shipyard to take a look first. This item was not there on display, but I was able to view other submarines that were for sale. I made the purchase on blind faith, but very happy that I did. I love all the details inside of the submarine, and the fact that it is big enough I can walk from stem to stern very easily. This vehicle attracts lots of attention, and everyone ask to have a walk through it's really that incredible. So easy to maneuver even though it is a large craft. I love the periscope Hud, and it is easy to get from the interior to the con. Lots of different standing and sitting animations inside this vehicle. I can touch the con and raise the periscope up and down, I can lurk and dive so very cool to have this.

If you are looking for the best submarine in the SL stop looking and get this one ASAP.
