WHAT IS THIS? It is a low-lag HUD that:

• Reports the current region name, the region's server version, and the region's hostname to local chat, either when you touch it or when you teleport or cross a region boundary, such as while driving, boating, flying, or walking.

WHY MIGHT YOU USE THIS?

• To help you keep track of region names and info as you travel, which can be helpful for later troubleshooting, or reminding yourself where you were when you met that cool person, or retracing previous routes while on grid drives, cruises, etc.

• To verify the server version running on the current region

• To discover the hostname of the current region

NOTE: This HUD will be at its most useful if you enable Preferences > Privacy > Log & Transcripts > Save "Log and Transcripts" and check "Save nearby chat transcript"—this will enable you to later refer to the output this HUD created while you were using it.

PERMISSIONS: The HUD is modify & copy to enable you to resize it if desired; the script is copy only.

ATTACHMENT POINT: By default this HUD attaches to the center position with a rotation of 0,0,0. All sides of the HUD which are intended to face away from the viewer are white. If you see white instead of the same red air horn graphic included in this listing, your HUD is not properly rotated as attached. You can edit it to fix this.

HISTORY: The first version of this HUD was born in December 2018 while I was troubleshooting region performance issues, and then, aside from sharing it with friends, it sat gathering dust for over three years. I hope you find it useful!
