The SORTaMATIC is a storage system for your excess Second Life inventory that helps keep it under control, providing you with a sensible and secure inworld backup and archive solution!
Placing items in the SORTaMATIC automatically sorts them into separate Drawers by their permissions, so that you can back-up your copyable and copy-transfer items easily and even send copy-transfer Drawers to other avatars for additional backup purposes.
The SORTaMATIC is equipped with several search methods to help you quickly find and retrieve your items when needed. Each SORTaMATIC can hold thousands of items (SL limit is 10,000 items placed in a single prim) however you will get the most out of your purchase if you organise things neatly.
A new "Folder Prim" feature exists so you can store items in your own categories (such as a collection of textures or an outfit).

Good item, does exactly what it says, easy to use, updates given when they come out.
I also bought a cheaper (similar) version from another seller and the only thing it didn't do which this one does is file under copy/mod/no trans and was over 1kL$ cheaper! If you can live without this bit, I'd reccomend the cheaper "bag look" version from another seller which blends in my store fantastic!
I'll admit, I was sceptical about this. It's a lot of money and I could've just rezzed a prim cube and dropped my stuff in it. However...
Well, it actually works really well. I struggled at first with dragging items into it, so I resorted to using Edit and dragging stuff into the Contents tab. It still managed to sort them perfectly.
It's copiable, so I can have one for my clothes, one for my costume textures, etc, and each one is a very low prim count. I like the way it looks, the filing cabinet appearance means it blends very well into my office.
And withdrawing items is a breeze. You can search it. And when you've found what you want, you can have the Sortamatic deliver the items neatly into your inventory in their own folder.
Honestly, it's very well thought out, deserves every one of the five stars I'm giving it, and I don't regret one linden I spent on it!

This is an awesome item.Helped with my inventory alot.Only beef I had with it was scripts and textures.Says it can handle script but when I dropped the scripts in well....just imagine dropping 20 scripts into the same box.Still seemed operational but looked like it was breathing after that little episode.And textures be very careful if you drop it on the wrong place...well you end up changing the texture of the box itself.Otherwise it is worth the money if you use it right.
***Update*** I still swear by this thing.I have never had such an easy time sorting my inventory.It does take scripts but sometimes it is hit or miss (user error,sl error) You can deactivate the scripts and it works awesome but I think I had some lag the first few times i tried which was what caused the 'breathing' So see user error the box itself amazing....LOVE THIS THING!!! You get copies so no worries if ya mess up the first time or two like I did ^.^
