Thanks for your interest in my Searchlight
The Search Light is mesh, apart from the beam which is a normal prim stretched to 40 meters, so it won't deform at distance and can be seen across an entire region. PLEASE NOTE: That when you first rez the light, the centre point is way up in the sky, so you may need to zoom out when you try to position it.
The prim count is 2 for the base and the search light itself is 6. (Do not link the base and the light or it will mess up the rotation)
Click on the light and a menu will drop down. From here you get a choice of 9 colors for the light beam: Pink, Purple, Yellow, Blue, Sky, Orange, White, Red and Green. You also have an option to cycle through the colors. Click on the 'Cycle On/Off' button and you will get a chat message telling you if cycle is on or off.
Click on the 'Rotate' button to turn Rotation on or off with a choice of 3 speeds.
There is also an 'Off' button which will turn both the light beam and rotation off. Just click on a color button to reactivate the search light.
The light is set so only the owner can use the menu. However, you can change this. Inside the light you will see a 'Configuration' notecard where you can set who can use the light to Owner, Group or Public
