This sequins textures pack gives you everything you need to create stunning sequin clothing and other items, with an absolute minimum of land impact.
These textures were baked using a powerful 3d rendering engine. They are tack sharp and provided in 9 different versions, each set at a slightly different angle. This allows you to vary sequins across your design to create a realistic look.
To help save time and for those less experienced in photoshop, a pre-made seamless sequins texture is provided.
Use the new "Advanced Lighting Model" viewer feature to create a stunning glistening effect as the surface changes in specularity, according to the angle of lighting.
To show these textures off to their best remember to add some nearby prim light sources!
All individual sequin textures are isolated on alpha/transparency and have no shadows. They can be easily exported onto your hard drive. Perfect for your clothing and accessories projects!
All textures are 1024px resolution.
YOU DECIDE THE COLOR

This texture is provided as a white shadow map, and can be color tinted using the build tool. Therefore allowing any color to be achieved.

Additionally, the textures in this pack are compatible with the new "Advanced Lighting Model" feature in Second Life viewers. This allows for the creation of more realistic texture surfaces that respond like materials to lighting!
To see this texture at its best potential you'll need a recent viewer and you will need to enable the "advanced lighting model" under your preferences.
This option is enabled automatically for avatars with their graphics set to "High" or "Ultra". Avatars who do not enable this will see the standard textures only.

not really useful
I purchased these textures ages ago and they are a well executed product in many ways, but after more than a year of *trying* to find some actual use for them, I cannot. So I thought I would leave this review as a warning to others.
The problem is that the seamless texture is a bit blah and there is no real variation in the brightness of the sequins as one would see on a garment covered with sequins in RL. Including the individual sequins is a good idea, but again there is almost no variation between the many individual sequins in terms or sparkle or brightness. Also, constructing your own texture ‘sequin by sequin’ is a next to impossible task when you consider that the NRMs and SPCs also have to align and also considering the sheer number of sequins employed on a single small garment.
Finally, there is really just something terribly ‘off’ about the NRMs of both the tiled sequins and the individual ones. I have never been able to apply these textures to any garment without it seeming that the sequins are actually *depressions* instead of raised areas no matter how much I fiddle with them (inverting etc.)
Overall this is a product that is a valiant attempt and good in theory, but not really practical or useful. I’ve yet to see any other clothing maker use these textures either.
