I did not find issues with putting the beach down. In fact one of the easiest i have done. I have many in my inventory over the 13yrs. I approached Alex about making his products available on Kitely for us in Open Sim to buy. He was ever so kind to get back with me and now we enjoy his work in OS. Thank you so much for what u create for us to enjoy

I have bought several of his products. But he is rarely online to offer any service. When I complained about how difficult it was to assemble his beach, he banned me from his land and banned me from purchases. Avoid.

Whether you'll be happy with this set really depends on how OCD you are. It's not going to be 100% seamless; the pieces don't fit together perfectly. That being said, with a lot of tweaking (and I mean hours worth of walking back and forth, camming around at different altitudes and angles), you can get your beach looking good enough that no one but you will notice any joins, and anything that's just a little off can be easily hidden with a well placed rock, driftwood, vegetation, boardwalk, etc. My only real complaint is with texturing. You can texture the back end (the pure dry sand) of the pieces to anything you like. However, the part where the wet sand meets the dry sand is a mixed texture, and there is no way to adjust the dry sand look of this part without also wiping out the wet sand, so you're stuck with whatever texture he used for the dry sand here. That's a disappointment because you are unlikely to have a region that perfectly matches Alex's dry sand texture...your only option if you want all dry sand in your entire region to match is to (a) have rights to change your region texture, and (b) change your region texture to Alex's dry sand. Other than that, it's a great set with lots of possibilities to create any kind of random-looking beach shape you can imagine.

I can see the joins because I work with them so closely, but trust me nobody else can see them. Lots of prefabs, lots of shapes for your own designs.

I don't understand the less-than-happy reviews. I've been building in SL for 15 years and this is a visually stunning product and easy to install (just make sure you understand how to position things on the Z co-ordinate and read the Z height for each piece). You'll need basic terraforming skills to feather the pieces in with your terrain.

The other brilliant (and unexpected) thing is that my island parcel seemed so much more spacious after installing these. An illusion, of course, but I was super-happy.

Based on some reviews, I almost didn't buy the coast, although I liked the package from the first go. I was appalled because of the seamless question but finished my coast seamlessly within 20-30 minutes. I couldn't perfect the elevation changes but that doesn't bother me because you can't see it unless you're crawling around on the floor with the camera. Many thanks! Every Linden worth.
