The Sombre Saxon is the next generation of Sombre fire appliance. Scripts and equipment have been overhauled from previous vehicles for a realistic, immersive, and fun roleplay experience. Bored of only doing fires? Try Sombre.
This vehicle can extinguish HDFS2 fires, but is not affiliated with HD Emergency in any way.
Based on British and Irish fire appliances from the early 2000s. Carries 1800 litres of water and 130 litres of foam. Contains over 40 unique roleplay items, realistic pump with cavitation, realistic driving with damage and refillable fluids. Comes in RHD and LHD.

This is a proper fire appliance with a full range of fire and rescue equipment (See bottom of listing for a full equipment list). Equipment is accessed through the Sombre Gear HUD which can be used by anyone, even if they don't own the vehicle. Most items are interactive and have some kind of function beyond just holding them.

Vehicle is modify because all good things are. Link / unlink stuff to your hearts content. Most scripts are no-mod with the exception of addons.

The Sombre Saxon Fire Engine is one of the best RP objects that I have ever seen in SL. It is very detailed and has all tools and accessoiries that can be found in the real engine. The accessability is also unique and I am sure that this vehicle will give a lot of fun in SL. Sirens on! Saxon: Here we come".
Absolutely love it
My friend Heidi Vilmaris (Auriel0928) purchased this for me and I love it. It is a greap apparatus and has great options. I especially like the sheer amount of lightbars that can be used on it. I tend to stick with US based Apparatus (with the exception of the Sombre Defender I have) for my emergency vehicles but despite this being UK based I still love it. I like that every item is usuable anmd the design is awesome. I would most definately reccomend this to other friends that RP emergency services like me. I enjoy the ability to add the logos directly to the vehicle rather than on the livery when being created. I will enjoy making my own liveries for this and may even replace my HD Legacy or just have it as a backup unit.

I brought this purely on the fact I love British/Europeon vehicles and don't see many around on sl And I have to say this by far is the most in-depth and well built vehicle i have seen in a long time
The amount of detail gone into this fire engine I'm proud to own this! well worth the money
Quirky but still a perfect fit!
This truck fits right into our city FD roleplay system! The steering is novel and more realistic than other trucks we've had, and it takes a little bit of practice (or you switch it back to "simple mode", but ... come on!). Once mastered the experience is really good!
