You enter through the lockable, vertical sliding door. This is a dangerous workplace and you'll see plenty of warning signs telling you to be careful and watch your step. There's a curved console and a large glass panel to let some light in, but this place is very grungy. Once inside, you will be greeted by the Entry Bot.

Entry Bot: [13 prims]
This legless android is stationed at its own special curved computer desk and flanked by two pulsing banks of computers with illuminated data screens. The android's head turns and watches you carefully as you move around the entrance. If someone else enters the room, it will decide for itself who to watch. Some visitors have even said they've seen it blink and nod!

Main Workshop:
Pass through the large, sliding black grate door (touch to open, long-touch to lock) and you will find yourself in the main works area. There's a computer display unit showing an animated waveform, by the inside wall. You might also be able to hear a background hum of tech machinery. The Robotics module has the usual Exosphere features such as low land impact and easy connection to other modules. There's even exterior warning signs on the outside of the module walls.

Free accessories:
This unit comes with lots of free accessories. You can place them anywhere, of course, but there's Magno-Bolt magnetic plates set in the walls, so alignment is automatic. They all have their own works platform. Note: These robots are RP props. Don't expect them to get up and start walking around. This is a repair shop, after all!

Large Armored Mech [15 prims]
This walking mechanical tank has weapons mounted on the upper head and lower body. It's HUGE and will tower over anyone standing below it. Sparks are emitted from the head as work is being done and its feet will occasionally spit out a few sparks that bounce across the floor. It's repair work platform has a floodlight attached on the rear.

Robo-Walker "Gunhead" [18 prims]
This is a 5 meter high humanoid robot with a gun turret as a head. If you encounter this terminator on the battlefield, keep running. It's repair platform also has a floodlight attached on the side.

Battle Droid [5 prims]
This is your standard two-legged battle droid. Small but deadly, it is useful as a fighting bot as it is bristling with weapons and ordinance. It's repair platform has a computer control column and a floodlight. This has a land impact of only five! (I kid you not!)

Worker Drone [3 prims]
This is a small 'worker-bot' that has a claw-like hand on the end of its long arm and can move fast on its twin tracks. Its camera head can relay images back to base and it has a machine gun attachment on the other arm, just in case it encounters any hostiles during it's work rota. This one has a land impact of only three!

Repair Chamber [11 prims]
This is a repair chamber that is being used to auto-repair a malfunctioning worker bot. You can see the bolts of electricity being applied along its body length and the chamber lights pulse with a high frequency wavelength to assist the nano-bots in their job of repairing the circuitry.

Storage and Supplies [9 prims]
An essential part of robotics repairs are spare parts, and this bench has a supply for most heavy duty mechanical entities. They are bathed in a golden light that kills all viruses known to affect robots. And it looks cool!

Oh, and there's one more thing....

Remember I said that these robots don't walk around? Well, one of them does! I'm including a free Inspection Bot. It looks like a computer on legs! Rez this on the spare works platform located in the Entrance area. Once in place, it will rotating it's body to watch you as you enter. But if you touch it, it will WALK slowly over to you take a good look at you. Then it will turn around and walk back to its post.

If you move it after you've rezzed it, just reset the scripts and it will learn it's new home. (PS: Objects won't stop it walking to you or returning to its post - it'll passes right through them like smoke, thanks to it's de-materialisation circuits!)

Exosphere starbase modules can be joined together by touching their bulkhead door frames. This module comes with free bulkhead end caps if you prefer it stand-alone.

One of my fav builds

Posted June 30, 2022 by Fable Piers 5 stars

It's so atmospheric. My Starship Captain is a Cyborg, so I purchased a Borg Drone regeneration chamber and stuck it there, so it's kind of her "bedroom". The receptionist needs an update, it looks basic, but otherwise, it's a great place for my mechanics and robotechs to build new robots.

smaller than expected

beautifully designed. but much smaller than I expected. No where in the description did I see the size of the room and the pictures make it look larger than it actually is. But it's still really well done and I'm not disappointed in the least to have it in my inventory.
