So this one is Tess's fault. She was helping our landlord experiment with some mega-prims (which is not related to this item) and came across a raft system she had created for the now-disbanded Seaside Community years ago. In that setting, the parcel was separated by a span of water. Two docks on each of the sections were connected by the raft. Visitors to the parcel would sit on the raft, click the button, and be carried to the other dock.

It quickly became apparent that the system was flexible and could be fun in a number of situations:

So we packaged it up and here it is!

How it works--Overview:

A starting position is selected and its coordinates are copied. The main script (<TA>Object Relocater Script - Put in Object) is edited to indicate the starting position. The coordinates of the second location is found, and the script is further edited to include them.

Once saved, the script is added to an object (such as our Derpy Sky Raft that is included). The two call buttons are rezzed near each of the locations, and clicking them will move the object from one location to the other.

With very little effort, the system can accommodate numerous locations.

People sitting on the object will be transported with it.

See the Instructions section for detailed setup procedures.

###### Before You Buy ###########
1. The object will not move over other people's parcels unless they have very liberal build and object settings.

2. The "Call" Button will only recall the object from a different position up to Shout range.

1. Simple, affordable, versatile, and flexible.

2. Requires minimal scripting ability--just edit some variable values.

1 Decide where you want the starting position to be for the object that will move. Rez your object there (or experiment by rezzing the included Derpy Sky Raft).

2. Edit the object and, on the Object tab, find the Position coordinates. Copy those. While you there, click the "Physical" check box on the object to be moved.

3. Open the "<TA>Object Relocater Script - Put in Object" script to edit it and replace the coordinates for "pos1" with those of the object to be moved. Save.

IMPORTANT! If you don't edit the script, when you put it in the object, the object will move to the position indicated by the script.

4. Leave the object to be moved and go to the destination location. Rez a default prim there and copy the position coordinates.

5. Open the "<TA>Object Relocater Script - Put in Object" script to edit it and replace the coordinates for "pos2" with those of the destination. Save.

6. Place the "<TA>Object Relocater Script - Put in Object" in the object to be moved.

7. Rez the two buttons (or create your own buttons and put the provided scripts inside).

8. Sit on the object. Click the "Go to pos 2" button and enjoy the ride!

9. Rez another set of buttons at the destination for the return trip!
